Why? The point is there is always the potential to lose to a Premier league side. I can guarantee you didn't think we'd lose to Luton.
Unless, in your eyes, if you're Aston Villa, Nottingham Forest, Brighton, Bournemouth, Chelsea and Manchester City
There's always potential to lose to a non-premier league side as well - ie when Forest put us out the league cup when they were in the championship, when we played Stevenage under Pardew etc The point is our team is massively better than Leicester's and anything other than a win is a disappointment. We would have to play extremely badly to lose to Leicester....it wouldn't be Leicester playing brilliantly cos they don't do that. "No easy games in the Premier league" is a standard cliche, but the gulf in quality better the best and worse sides is huge this year.
The gulf in quality isn't as wide as people think. Its elite level sport and the margins are actually small. If you don't play well and the other team does you'll get beat..
We lost a game many said we'd easily win vs West ham. Newcastle are favourites but nothing more tonight! They have to perform.
