Tremendous! I'd prefer to believe that's a set up but, sadly, I think it's real. These people are so incredibly stupid they believe that strangers can immediately identify them as whichever specimen they've chosen to be. 'Using gender based language' may offend them, but that's precisely what they want ... ... being offended gives them the sense of purpose that they're clearly lacking.
Apocryphal tales and rage bait off the internet aren't worth getting worked up over. Ultimately if it's come off Elon's site, I'm gonna be taking it with a significant mound of salt.
And there’s no way I am spending my time trying to learn all the different terms let alone what they ‘re supposed to mean. I once googled and way back then ( numerous more have been invented since) I saw a list of about 25 . Most were incomprehensible on their own , some were a mixture of two others , some allowed the interchangeable use of two at any chosen moment. Even if we did study it all , as you say how do we know unless the person ( can I say “person” ?) displays a sticker on their forehead .
It must be a nightmare for normal people working in large offices that support the choices of these specimens. Imagine having to learn the 'gender choices' of everyone only to find it's no longer the 'year of the cat' but the 'year of the *****ose'. (Yes, I did say normal people, sorry if you don't feel you fit into that category.)
It annoys me that in all sorts of issues, the vast majority are being expected to or made to change things in order to accommodate the minorities and those who think they have to support them. I’v e no problem with anyone who is/ wants to be whatever , but it’s impossible to make practical life perfect for all wishes.
At my daughters school they have a strict dress code according to the rule book, if you turn up with black trainers on instead of black shoes you get sent home, if you wear a coat over your blazer in the winter because its freezing you get sent home, however if you turn up with blue hair and cat ears nothing is said. Strictly no make up is another strictly enforced rule ( rightly so ) unless your a boy who wants to be a girl and paints his nails then thats fine. The bending of the rules for the minority is ridiculous

My good lady listens to a radio show called Plank of the week and unsurprising so far this year Starmer has won it most weeks. However on Sunday a child's nursery school down South was nominated because they banned and sent home a 3 year old girl for showing non binary issues. Apparently she asked one of the male teachers why he was wearing a dress...bless her. The world has officially gone mad.
There are many phrases and proverbs that make sense but one of the stupidest is 'Never judge a book by it's cover'. That's exactly what you should do in passing or during brief encounters with people. As an ex-doorman, checking out 2000 clubbers entering the place, that's precisely what you should do ... ... we all do it daily and this little girl is right to ask. If I call someone a he, when he wants to be seen as a she, that's just too bad ... ... as long as no disrespect is meant there's no need for anyone to lose their mind over it.
This. As Smug says, they are missing something in their lives. I'd recommend they pop into their local church and seek council
From my (incredibly limited) experience, trans people just want to get on with their lives without fuss. Stuff like the cat kids thing is almost always traceable back to a story from the press designed almost exclusively to create division and discomfort. As indeed it was with the cat thing, which originated from social media and was picked up and amplified by the Mail and the Telegraph. Actual cat children? I'd be amazed if there are any concrete examples. it's hearsay and rumour that is amplified because its a vote winner. It's easy for politicians to create an imagined boogeyman and promise to 'solve' the issue. Hell of a lot easier than actually making people's lives better anyway! At the end of the day, I'd be amazed if anyone on here has had any real meaningful effect whatsoever in their lives from trans people - unless one of you has a trans child.
I rarely get the opportunity to pick my daughter up from school, I doubted what she used to tell us until I witnessed it with my own eyes.
That there are people out there that have lost their jobs, livelihoods and god knows what else as a result of having a differing opinion to trans people would suggest that they don’t want to get on with their lives without fuss. There are activists in every walk of life including the trans community. No amount of surgery, drugs, makeup or clothing will turn a man into a woman or vice versa. That is a biological reality.
Wasnt this whole children identifying as cats exposed as a hoax a while back? I thought some American media fella had to apologise for spreading these stories as they were proven false.
