OK, who would be your Prem Manager of the season? I'n not overly bothered who gets the award officially, but I would give it to Nuno at Forest He's really got that team believing. Great management.
I make you right there. If Forest get into the Champions League then that will be a bigger achievement.
Slot has done well, but he had 99% of the work already done for him. He's turned Liverpool into a machine, but I think they've lost some passion. That was starkly illustrated by the way they were mullered by Newcastle in the League Cup Final. A Klopp team would not have wilted like that.
This day in 1994, we beat Southend United 4-3 at The Valley in front of 9,117 spectators. Incredibly, the game was goalless at half-time. Goals from Leaburn, Gorman and Pardew (2) secured the three points. I was there. Great memories.
Slot will deserve great credit for winning the league in his first season, especially after coming in from an amateur league. However, I'd give it to Nuno for taking an average side and turning it into top four material. Very impressive. I've liked him from his days at Wolves. He was underfunded at Spuds and utterly disrespected. Good on him, I say.
We are featured in FourFourTwo's Best and Worst segment this month, compiled by a Paddy Pamment (anyone know him?). Some interesting choices. No 1998 play-off final for best match, instead opting for the 3-3 against Man Utd in 2000. Best player goes to Ademola Lookman. Worst owner is Roland, of course. I'd like to do a Favourite Eleven thread if that's okay? Yes, it's been done a thousand times, but it's fun.
