They're formalities. The guard of honour still needs to be achieved

    Nope.

Needing to watch saka slow clap and the paella pulis sulk is not on my top 1000 things to see at Anfield.

The joy is for lfc fans it should just be positive.

He'll I want no sign of the rat anywhere near it.

I find this guard of honour stuff rather cringe.

Cos we.dont like singing abusive songs at other teams and just like positivity in our celebrations.

2018/19 bus parade was one of the greatest moments as a fan. There was no negativity or need to abuse spurs to feel good.

Same for cup finals. The opponents get lost quick after getting losers medals and you leave it to the winners. Newcastle fans were simply joyous so you let them off at it.

I've no need to rub arsenal noses in anything.

Why? If I was a player having to do this I would not be happy. I’d be far more interested in beating them on the pitch after 90 mins. Let the club social media congratulate the league winners.

We just don't want to get to a must not lose game against Arsenal, or it's shades of 1989 again. I don't think it will - I think Arsenal will still drop more points. But so will we.

Cba analysing that first half again - we all know what went wrong, especially defensively, but when we're pressed now there's no get out through Gravy and Szobbo - both players look shot. And the goalie's looking ragged too - never thought I'd say that.

Good job it's 11 points - if it was 6 points, and even with Arsenal being in so-so form themselves, I'd be more worried. When they go out to Madrid they'll have full, 100% focus on the league. I'm almost hoping they win the CL somehow. In fact, I've got nothing against them or Villa doing so. But we're limping over this line, aren't we? Not really played well since the City game, and then you're going back to Christmas and battering Spurs and West Ham to look for how we've had any dominance, but the good thing is that we have grinded out results, and as you say, we have to grind out three more then it's over - or should be.

    look at this
    upload_2025-4-7_13-41-25.png

now you can decide how and that gap could be by the arsenal game.

Brentford comes between two massive CL ties. you can decide yourself on that.
Again west ham should be piss easy. They are terrible.

Arsneal play palace at home but palace have the fa cup semi in a couple days after this. couldn't be worse for us.

even the most pessimistic person would give us 2 points out of 3 games there surely.

Give areanl 9 and thats a next 7 point swing = 4 point gap.

you'd have to be the absolutel most neagtive minded person on the planet to give LFC 0 and arsenal 9 from the next 3. on short there will be no do or die game v arsenal and it has ZERO shades of 1989.

theres two games after the arsenal game so our aim should be to finish that game 7 points clear of arsenal. Very simply really.

to go that we simply need to win the next 2 and then draw with spurs and draw with chelsea and fall over the line with a final draw to arsenal. (assuming they win all 4 given they are pretty easy games inthe circumstances.

I fully expect arsenal to be out of europe within a week. If they are some how not then that bourmnouth game will have cl games around it and we will play arsenal after they play a midweek game.

finally look at arsenals second last game. A side who will have to win for top 5.

We've just had a 26 game unbeaten run. The next closest this season is four games <laugh>. (Arsenal, Forest +2 others)

Would be interested to see Juric's managerial stats this season - he got sacked after a bad start at Roma IIRC.
