Ignoring the obvious, and skipping through the yacking, this is a good clip ... ... great views of our support, the post match applause and Hume's free kick. Also quite funny that the lad doesn't realise it wasn't West Brom booing when we scored
Thought the tweak by RLB to put Jobe on the right instead of his usual left was a great move, think it happened around 25 minutes in and Johnston didn't get much joy after that
May seem an odd choice, but I think Patto could be a decent shout for pens. The power he generates taking goal kicks that with a little accuracy should be what's needed.
One man's 'blocking shots in defence' is part of the game and why defenders are there ... ... sadly it's another man's 'desperation' and 'getting lucky'. While I'm on I have to 'defend' the West Brom keeper. We were stood behind him and, as Roberts feigns to put in an outswinger, he shifts his balance slightly ... ... Hume instantly fires in a fierce shot at a bad height for a keeper. It's not as bad a mistake as it looks imo.
The three top teams have all been highly praised and declared 'promoted' at various times ... ... fact is, one of them may not even be promoted. Leeds went into March, a month back, 7 points clear of the third team ... they're now 2 points off top and looking a mess. So much for, 'It's now Leeds plus one other team'. They've just dropped their keeper, won once in March and are away to Boro on Tuesday. They've just conceded points and goals to Swansea, QPR, Portsmouth and Luton picking up just three points from a possible twelve. They were 13 points ahead of Sunderland but now only 7, there's 18 more points to win or lose ... ... that's still a big gap but one team will be shiitting their pants, at the moment, and it's not Sunderland
It's absolutely mad mate, 4 weeks ago I had leeds certain champions with Burnley likely 3rd, if I had to put money on now it would be the other way around. I think I leeds lose their next game and we win I wouldn't bet against us finishing in 3rd. They are a mess at the minute, I think when they beat us they thought it was a formality. They dropped a few points and look to be in free fall
that’s great to hear. It’s one of the things I’ve wanted to see more of from RLB, proactive tweaks like this.
I thought he was really solid yesterday. He does so much work for the team. The ability is clear, but his work ethic at his age is really stand out.
Yesterday, we defended like we did at the start of the season, when we were keeping clean sheet after clean sheet. If that continues and Le Fee can make a huge difference to our midfield creativity, we will have an outstanding chance of going up. I would love us to win, but I'd take a draw on Tuesday night, as four points from the 2 away games would be a good return. Whether we win or draw, it's important to keep the momentum we've got, while playing without the pressure being on us. Don't look too far ahead, just focus on one game at a time. Fourth place is in the bag and we've just won our last 2 games. Let's see what the table looks like if we win the next 2 this coming week. HTL!!!
Our full backs must love the Hawthorns..iric last season it was Dennis Cirkin and now Trai gets in on the act....doesn't matter who scores the 3 points and building momentum is all that matters. More twists and turns to come yet.
Listening to the WBA pod. They're having a proper good cry about how low our xG was and how they should have won
