Looked that up last night, this is the first season we’ve ever beaten both Sheffield clubs away in the League. First time we’ve kept two clean sheets against them too. Ground breaking stuff.
2 things on that video When he says Yorkshire derby I'm assuming he means a team from Yorkshire vs a team from Derbyshire No wonder he can't believe the score even after the final whistle the score board still said 0-0
Always a good day beating Massive. More twists and turns and ****loads of excitement to come as the season reaches its climax but that late winner yesterday might well end up being ‘that moment’ we can look back on come May. F’kin hope so.. UTT.
I totally get that performances dont matter at all now We just need points in anyway But we are a struggle to watch
At this stage I’m glad we are playing within our means. We don’t have the quality up front to be committing loads of players forward for attacks
What’s the narrative around him? Because to me, mentality wise he’s absolutely crushed this season. Viewed by many as not good enough internal and external after pre season etc. Started the season really well, dropped for a loanee, comes back and has probably had his best run of form since joining with Bristol City away and yesterday as the picks of the bunch. My POTY by some distance
"time for him to prove me wrong", He proved me wrong. Still not convinced he knows his best 11 though and some of those subs were odd. And he needs to work on his half time team talks, something is very wrong there...
He’s our best keeper in years. I can accept him being average playing out (he’s improving this every game in my opinion, anyway) but he’s one of the best shot-stoppers in the league. I genuinely think only Cooper and Johansson are better shot-stoppers than him.
He's loving the season, wasn't particularly happy to be dropped for no reason, but just cracked on and is seeing the results. As I've said before, he's young very talented and will only get better with experience, tie him down asap as people are taking notice
Agree with all that, and we still don't seem to have any patterns of play when we're attacking. Our transfer policy re forwards has been bizarre and we've ended up with half a dozen Swiss-Army players who can all 'do a job' without any being a reliable goalscorer. I like their endeavour and attitude, but five million quid for Burstow and Joseph feels weird when that money could have gone towards a proven onion bag botherer. The summer transfers in AND out will be interesting once Belloumi and Millar are available.
Our team is a bit mix and match right now and we haven’t got the front line to play direct football so when we do play long it’s a bit arduous. If we stay up it’s going to be interesting to see what kind of forwards we go after and what a team in Selles’ mould actually looks like
Thought the Owls had a method of play and pattern that was well rehearsed but then their squad hasn’t changed much for a couple of years . We didn’t have that but we looked better passers when our ball players came on . Last one is Johnson for them committed 7 fouls inc a couple of spoilers and still don’t get booked on a topping up basis .
