Class signing and who’d have thought it eh? Experienced, had success at this level before and better than what we already had. The exact type of signing I was begging for last summer…

Wonder how much we'll regret only taking 1 point from Plymouth at the end of the season

4 weeks 6 days till the 5th vs 4th play off 1st leg, so can Mundle make it ? i worry now watching these matches when a player goes down, they need to just jog around the pitch, we will get top 2 ? can/should we gamble ? at the minute i think we can do it with 91-93 points, need Watson and a few under 21's in the team though and rotatation.

He's a proper grown up isn't he? Like defending is just what he does before building a fence then taking the kids to football practice.

I'll be amazed if Hume says he didn't mean it.

It was so deliberate and he couldn't have expected anyone to get their head on it.

People are blaming the keeper but he wouldn't have thought Hume would do that ...

    ... he's not Brazilian <laugh>

It looked like a shot to me, the way he wrapped his foot round it and the pace on it. It wasn't some weird floaty fluke it went exactly where he aimed it.

A bit of both after the shocking previous summer window. I’m glad the approach changed.

We can technically miss out I think in the following scenario...

    • We lose all of our remaining 6 games
    • Middlesbrough win their next 5 games, then lose to Coventry and there's a goal difference swing of 9 between us and Boro.
    • Coventry win all 6 of their remaining games.
    • Bristol City win 5 and draw 1 of their remaining 6 games (which includes us, Leeds & West Brom).
It's also possible if Boro and Coventry draw, but there would have to be a goal difference swing of 16 in Coventry's favour.

1 more point and it's mathematically guaranteed.

He is. I know the team of people who installed the lights and speakers (2 different companies) at the SoL. He was there scrutinising everything. He really cares about the club, despite what some may say

When we signed him for me it was like yeah I’ve heard of him, he’ll probably be solid at this level but he’s been incredible like. In his debut against boro, first 20 mins I was worried he was too aggressive but turns out that’s his game and he’s unbelievable at it. Wouldn’t wish injury on anyone but ballards injury pre season ended up strengthening us in the end with Meptham, he’s been a pleasure to watch this year.

Not so much said about Alan Browne mind:emoticon-0102-bigsm (he’s done pretty well at right back tbf - anywhere but midfield!)

It’s also worth pointing out that Mepham has played about the same number of senior games as Dan Neil. It’s simple really. Buy good players. That’s all that matters and that’s what works.
