Love a day down WBA but will miss this one, my lads going down with his mates so hopefully he brings the 3 points back with him. I think this could be a high scoring match with 2 different styles of football, I am going for a 3-2 win to the lads with a screamer from Le-Fee to win it ! Another belter RTB, thanks again. Hope big Tony gets a good reception from our amazing away support, I liked him, good honest bloke and been through the Mill.
https://www.thenorthernecho.co.uk/s...boss-regis-le-bris-outlines-plan-enzo-le-fee/ ENZO LE FEE will return to the Sunderland squad at West Brom tomorrow, but Regis Le Bris intends to tread carefully with the Roma loanee in the hope of avoiding another injury setback.... He made eight starts in a row after joining Sunderland, having barely featured for Roma in the first half of the season, with his heavy workload perhaps a factor in the muscular issue that forced him onto the sidelines. There were mitigating factors behind his high level of involvement – Sunderland found themselves without a natural left winger with Romaine Mundle and Tommy Watson both injured – but having eased Le Fee back into training in the second half of last month, Le Bris does not intend to rush him back into action now he is available. As a result, he is likely to find himself on the bench at the Hawthorns. “We will try (to be patient) for sure, yes, I think this is important,” said Le Bris. “The situation was different when he first arrived because at that time we were still very much in the [top two] race and two wingers were still missing at that moment. The core of the team was really short. It is a little bit different now, so I hope we will have this opportunity to build a dynamic, one to avoid another injury and another to build the best shape possible for him.” While Le Fee has spent virtually all of his Sunderland career so far playing on the left flank, the 25-year-old is not really a winger. Le Bris had earmarked him for the ‘number ten’ role when he persuaded him to swap Serie A for the Stadium of Light, and intends to use him as a central attacking-midfielder in the remainder of the season. “I hope now that we will see him in midfield because this is his best position,” said Le Bris. “We'll try to connect the other midfielders now. I don’t think the players necessarily need competition, because they are so well connected with the game and they are so committed to improving their game every single day,” he said. “So, I don't think this competition is necessarily important for these players. But, for sure, it (Le Fee being back available) is very useful for us. With Enzo, we will have another option, a different style of player who will maybe build different connections. Maybe it will open up more rotation in midfield. It is tough to play every minute with the same players - if we can have another player at the level the output of the team is going to be better, for sure.”
Great news indeed. I haven't seen the 90 minute energy levels required so far, but RLB explains the reasons and plans for Le Fee to play the no. 10 Gates role... I'd got Mayenda for the Marco role
Thanks again RTB for your much looked forward to MDT . Strange situation this seemingly coasting towards the play offs. While each result is important, so is the squad development, to enter the fray this time in better shape than last.. Oau
I fully expect this to be a cracking game with 2 teams going at it like a good old fashioned FA Cup tie. 3-2 to the cuddlies and TM praising us to the hilt when we beat them. Cheers RTB.
Having Le Fée back is huge. His chance creation and defensive numbers were crazy good when he was playing, all while being out of position. Drip feed him back into the team and then unleash him when 100%.
I think he is better than Wilson as a 9. Just my opinion, and I do like Wilson in many ways. I just believe Mayenda has more attributes and he is as strong as a bloody ox.
I’d love to see a few Sunderland goals tomorrow … … just so we can relax and really sing for the last fifteen minutes.
What about those of us travelling tonight … … 23.07 into New Street then I’m walking through the night to the Vine
I am a lucky boy. Just had a call inviting me to the game tomorrow. Full treatment. I may well be last resort given the late notice It is a west brom invite, but I will likely get chance to say hello to Tony. Have accepted and am looking forward to it. I love Tony and a chance to say hi is not to be turned down.
Sounds great, hope you totally enjoy it mate. My nickname, when I was younger was Skegness … … always the last resort
