Ah if it's work, now that makes sense...microwaves can create hotspots, I believe if they are not cleaned properly, so I'm assuming being a works one, no one has ever bothered with it, and what you are seeing is the consequences of that. If it's old one, time to bin it for a new one.

Yeh got ourselves an air fryer few years back now.

    Very handy things.

A lot of new builds have in built in air fryers rather than traditional ovens now.

    My sisters gaff being one

I like airfryers, but they are the biggest insurance claim for house fires I think at the moment. They are quite dangerous products if not used and positioned correctly. They need ventialtion and lots of it. They should not be backing on to a wall (unless built in professionally), they need to be away from the wall and should never ever be left unattended.

The airfryer is the safest from of cooking in my gaff tbh, it has a timer and turns itself off.

Whereas my cooker I'm really bad with it, leave hobs on all the time and **** like that.

Set my old gafs kitchen on fire once because of me forgetting to turn **** off

Got to be honest mate, I thought Russia weren't on the list because of sanctions, it would be like putting Iran on the list. Then again that's like saying that the UK don't trade with Russia but we send our cars through Azerbaijan instead.

Also I noted Canada and Mexico were not on the list, supposedly because of already arranged agreements, all very odd. Everyone sitting on their hands at the moment, watching the markets dive with one more day of trading to come this week.

Triilions wiped off the American economy and it's ****ed their pensions as well. Absolute ****ing twat, he's made Truss look amateur at trashing the place. <laugh>

For ordinary Americans, this market decline is not just a business news story, it's a personal hit to their retirement funds, such as 401(k)s, that depend on the market, according to the report. The massive decline in stock prices has erased trillions from the US stocks, Daily Mail reported.

I think retaliatory tariffs are pointless tbh, especially from a UK perspective.

Tariffs don't even hit services, which is what the UK has a massive surplus with the US in, so in all essence the UK has dodged huge tariffs. If I was Land Rover/Jaguar I'd be a bit miffed tho.

I think Iran are on the list mate. 10% along with the rest of the world, apart from those countries that Trump piled extra tariffs on. So I don't think the sanctions reason holds water, even though that's what the US administration have said.

And yeah, crazy amounts of money wiped off the markets today. Along with car plants shutting down in Canada and Mexico which has had a knock on effect costing something like 900 US jobs on day 1 of this mental tariff splurge.

Americans are about to feel the increased costs of products due to the tariffs, then they are gonna get hit with inflation. If countries reciprocate with their own tariffs on the US that's gonna hit them again, and then like you say, the $$$$$$ wiped out of their pension funds.

I think Starmer is right not to panic and go into retaliatory mode, firstly like you say the UK has dodged the worst of it. But also, he knows that Trump is a massive fanny and would only make things worse if he hit back.

This bloke is a ****in fruit loop, but he's one you need to keep onside. Stroke his ego and he'll probably come back in a week or two and say 'That Sir Kier is a really great guy, you know, one of the best, probably the best. And so I'm going to reduce the UK tariff to zero'

I put the list up on page 583 and I can't see Iran on the list, unless I'm overlooking them, which could always be possible lol.

Because we are all fundamentally operating within a failed framework. The neo-liberal economic philosophy that Thatcher/Reagan established isn't working anymore.

We also lack governments who have the spine to introduce real serious change to our societies. Take the UK, since 1945 we have only had two truly transformative prime ministers - Clement Attlee and Margaret Thatcher, in between those two PMs every single one has all but copied what they put into place with nothing new at all to contribute. Just look at other countries and sorta copy is what we all do.

The UK needs a government that comes in and seriously changes our tax system, VAT, services, pensions, welfare. These things are absolutely attainable within an emergency budget and single term, but the PM and party has to have the spine first and foremost to get it ****ing done. Attlee and Thatcher have proven it can be done.

Starmer ain't the man for it, he's an attorney and he likes to operate in the preexisting laws. The Tories only produce inbred ****wits so that ain't going to help.

Farage seems to be hellbent on maintaining an even stronger Neo-Liberal system whilst dismantling Attlees work. So they really won't help anyone.

Much as with the Tories and now Labour, we always seem more interested in filling financial blackholes than looking after people. Not helped by constantly voting millionaires into power, or in the case of the US putting a Billioanaire at the wheel who wasn't even voted into anything, alongside the president.
