Top 3 centre backs? I thought it was only Colo and Saylor the top guys missing? Carra, Agger would be the equivalent.
Tiote - Lucas is the equivalent who is missing for the rest of the season anyway. And 3rd best midfielder? We have our best midfield Gerard missing as it is.
Equivalent of Marveux...we sent him on loan to Lille, Joe Cole.
From our current squad I would say...Maxi Rodriguez.

Williamson is missing too. Whilst he may not be one of our top players, he's our 3rd best CB. Pretty stupid of us to not buy CB cover when we have 3 CBs, 1 of which was injured and 1 has a lot of trouble with injury. Just our luck that all of them get injured at the same time though

Both carry on as we are and our match in January could certainly be a cracker. Just hope half our squad isn't injured by then!

The way we are playing would have got us top 4 last season but this season there are 4/5 teams that are just stronger than us with their starting 11. I put Carroll in their because I think he has been playing better than people give him credit for when he plays the full 90 mins, when he has been brought on as an impact sub he has been fairly useless though.

 

Carroll will be back in a black and white shirt come January
