Used to love the candy roll ups. They'd never be allowed to do that these days. Encouraging kids to smoke from an early age.....they knew what they were doing, the wily sods!
Lived in an off-licence for over 20 years - one that sold just about every brand of ***s - parents smoked 20-40 Woodbines a day ... have never smoked ... true dat
Trump is impossible to listen to "Abe... great guy, SHINZO ABE, the Japanese leader there... he looked at it and he agreed, Donald we have a... good man, taken from us too soon ASSASSINATED, but he said Donald I agree there's a problem there...Good man.." Anyway, the UK only has 10% tariffs on the US and the US will only hit the UK with 10% back. It'll be cheaper to export through the UK to the US than through the EU, which got hit with a 20% tariff.
I'm watching the footie, any news what tariffs he's going to hit the UK with yet, I think the press release was supposed to be 9pm UK time.
It's a difficult one for Keir, be interesting to see how he plays it, I really wouldn't know what to do. I heard someone discussing this the other day, someone out in Geneva and their advise was, do not get in a trade war with him. Suppose it's what that 10% means financially and have we a way of clawing it back, without it getting into a full blown argument over it. I suspect that 10% probably demonstrates Keir has won some ground with the raving ****ing lunatic. Be interesting to see the response, that's if KS even wants to discuss it publically, to avoid further retaliation, and might just pretend to suck it up.
I think ultimately it's good news for the UK as it means the goal of being cheaper to export from Britain is still a thing and gives the UK an edge when selling to the US.
I agree with you mate, but I expect the Tories will do what they did the other day and give him a hard time over it, and the media will raise it in every question. I'll have a catch up of the news after this game.
The Tories will for sure but it'll be the Lib Dems who make the biggest meal out of it, theyre the opposite of Reform basically
I bet there will be a loophole for Ireland to exploit this though, and probably why not, who wouldn't.
Just had a mind of my own Sucksta ... most (if not all) of my mates smoked growing up - my parents were happy enough to let me have a drink from quite an early age - and I still enjoy that ... just never felt like inhaling tobacco smoke ...also found kissing ashtrays unpleasant
Erm......Not sure if your parents told you that was a thing as a deterrent, but, thats not actually a required part of smoking. Generally with ashtrays, you just stub out the *** butts in them, you are not required to tongue them afterwards, thats what the dishwasher is for.
