Considering the chaos surrounding Blackburn he's probably made a good decision going to Derby. Apparently Gary O'Neil had an interview at Blackburn and he asked the board 3 questions: What is the budget next season? What is the situation with out of contract players? Would the academy stay as CAT A? Apparently the board couldn't answer any of them so he declined the job.

It’s beyond a joke now. What are you meant to do, not make the tackle and just allow someone to dribble because he’s behind the ball so you’re going to follow through? Anyone who’s played the game knows you can’t go into a tackle like that with your studs down facing the turf without putting yourself at real risk of injury. It’s a great tackle imo.
