Most fans would be pleased at news that Haaland probably won't play... but Marmoush is way more of a problem for our 'flick to kick' defence with his movement and trickery ... ... hope that's jinxed the ****er
My honest opinion, I think and have thought for a little while that Marmoush is a far bigger threat than Haaland. I like Haaland but he's just not done anything to impress me this season, nor to suggest he should keep his place. It's the sort of scenario where people would call me completely mad if I suggested dropping him, but he's just turned into a Rashford, but maybe without the troubled mind. Standing around waiting for someone to lob you a ball in don't cut it for me, even if he adds a physical presence to a side.
Palace at home tonight. Can't really be arsed tbh but I'll trudge along and leave maybe when it gets to 3.
I think Marmoush has looked deadly since he turned up at City and am wondering how long he will be willing to play second fiddle to Haaland. Its similar to the Gabby Jesus and Aguero situation. If Haaland sticks around and stays No 1 choice, I give Marmoush 18 months before he starts chafeing.
I'll go with 1-3 to Palace, you made things interesting for us by taking the lead before the inevitable loss. Home to Brentford.....this is ****ed, when we played them in December they won every won game and lost every away game, now they've flipped that around and they'll win away. Gah.
Haaland is one of them players if City win 5-0 he will have bagged 4 of them usually if they win 2-1 He doesn’t get any of the goals usually
Lukaku was a bit like that. Haaland is 24 though man, he likely has 6 more years at the top level, City would get £120m for him if they flogged him to one of the La Liga giants or PSG. Depending on how these financial court cases go, they may need to.
He hasn't had a great season....which is a very weird thing to say seeing as he got 30 goals by the end of March. Reality is it should be more though, he's been creating countless big chances, but only finishing a few of them, see Bournemouth game on Sunday, got one in second half, but should have had an easy hat trick in the first half.
City in general have been off the pace this season, I imagine its a side effect of that. I wouldnt be surprised, if Marmoush does work out great, if City did decide to flog Haaland in a year or two.
Rodri was their key player, and that obviously had a huge affect, they couldn't have properly legislated for that. Like VVD being injured for Liverpool, and likewise if Makele got a long term injury, Mourinho's Chelsea would have been ****ed. But yeah the rest of them have been off it to, Marmoush and the new kids look good, but the regulars aren't on it.
Nah ... Haaland scores against the other teams in the 'Big 6' ... Lukaku is pure flat-track bully - both in the Prem and Internationally...
I think your description of Lukaku makes him very similar to him, although I wouldn't call Haaland a bully, his presence alone in the side is a must and he uses it to help his team mates out...and sometimes he gets it's wrong and gets mugged off himself....thinking of that Arsenal playing, can't remember who it was.
He’s scored against Real Madrid (x2), PSG, Arsenal (x2) this season. City have generally been miles off it in the games against the better teams so doubt he’s had loads of chances compared to when they were wiping the floor with everyone.
