The FA decide to charge Luis AND Liverpool today , its one rule for one and another rule for someone else. They the FA are an absolute disgrace. The FA and Media are PROVING there is one rule for British players and a differnet rule for overseas players Despite 9 May 2011: Manchester United and England player Wayne Rooney is photographed and videotaped making a clear V-sign toward Chelsea fans. FA decides not to take action. http://www.guardian.co.uk/football/2...n-chelsea-fans 17 December 2007: Chelsea and England player Ashley Cole is photographed making a clear V-sign toward Arsenal fans. There is no immediately available record of the FA taking any action. http://www.telegraph.co.uk/sport/232...-fall-out.html 19 January 2010: Manchester United and England player Gary Neville is photographed clearly extending a middle finger toward Manchester City's Carlos Tevez in full view of fans, at the end of a heated local derby. There is no immediately available record of the FA taking any action. http://www.guardian.co.uk/football/2...oberto-mancini There's the hard part done for you. Now do your jobs. Find out whether Cole and Neville were punished -- Cole for doing precisely what Suarez is accused of, Neville for doing something similar and surely no more excusable. If you find that they were indeed punished, then inform us, and demand the same for Suarez. If you find that they were not, demand equal treatment for Suarez, regardless of the fact that he is your pantomime villain and does not play his international football for England. The Media pillaried Suarez on Tuesday morn, this many years after defending Beckham for doing EXACTLY THE SAME THING http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/euro2000/teams/england/790657.stm Media sympathy for Beckham's gesture Beckham's wife Victoria before the match in Eindhoven If the press reflect public opinion, David Beckham's "one fingered salute" to the England fans who abused him has united the nation. Most papers came out in support of Beckham, whose gesture of defiance came as yobs taunted him after England's 3-2 loss to Portugal. Top-selling daily The Sun used its back page to demand "Lay off Becks", saying: "Now is the time for every football fan in the country to get behind David Beckham." The Mirror's front page carried the "vile insults" which provoked Beckham, who had turned in an excellent performance against the Portuguese. Majority It's editorial called on the majority of England supporters at Euro 2000 to "Shame [the] vile cretins who hurt Becks". The Sun: backing Beckham It said: "Our message to every England fan following the team is this: Root out these morons. "If you hear them shout this stuff, report them to the authorities. Or better still, drown out their bigotry with pro-Beckham chants." "Nation united behind Becks" claimed The Daily Star which enlisted TV celebrities to back Beckham and labelled the spectators who abused him as "sub-human filth". Why is when Beckham is abused, the abuses are SUB HUMAN FILTH But Suarez is abused , he is the one at fault You can leave a clean message with the FA on 0844 980 0699
I can see how it would piss you off. However the precendent with all those cases was not to charge players for such actions, however all that changed when Rooney was charged and banned for 2 games for his swearing. Right or wrong the FA set a precedent re swearing with that case and I have to try and be consistant now. However I think charging him is bollocks and I doubt there will be a ban ( probably just a fine )
I think in the long run this will actually benefit us although in the short term it's ****ing annoying. Kenny wants the siege mentality back at Anfield undoubtedly and this kind of farcically selective action by the Fungus Association will help him engender a feeling of injustice within the ranks Liverpool never have and never will be the media and fa darlings in the way manure are so are we really surprised by any of this? I know I'm not.
Suarez didnt swear, he stuck his finger up.Like BECKHAM,COLE,NEVILLE AND ROONEY, who were not charged. He didnt do it aggresively straight into a camera either As I said one rule for one , another rule for another. The FA are Xenophonic without doubt, and will have to deal with the full wrath of LFC fans everywhere if he is suspended. There incompetant referees get away with mistake after mistake after mistake They are a disgrace
Eric you can only compare like for like examples,so Rooney's swearing rant is irrelelvant. Its a hand gesture hes getting done for. Its an offence when the FA feel like making it one. please log in to view this image
I think charging the Club for not controlling players even more ridiculous. This is because some of the players, questioned the red card and confronted the ref. How ****ing insane is that, in almost every game we see players surrounding refs, questioning decisions and nothing ever happens. What did the FA expect, Kenny and the staff to run onto the pitch and drag the players away? It was a contentious red card of course the players are going to argue. Absolute nonsense. Granted the club will only get fined where as Suarez could miss a match or two, but both charges just smack of bias Its not hard to see why Fifa (despite how crooked they are) and the rest of the football world think the FA are a joke
This after the FA try to REDUCE Rooneys ban, after fu**in stamping on someone, they " The FA havnt got a clue what the f**k they are doing I must admit though they are about as consistant as there referees
Didnt Rooney get let off for his V sign by the FA because Manure claimed he was signalling about something else at the touchjuge, I think they claimed he was pointing at his eyes about looking more clearly or some crap like that... Cant Kenny claim Suarez was just trying to explain the offside rule to them, which they clearly dont understand... 'Yes sir, you only need one defender between me and the goal...'
We've had players banned for offences that others have got away with so I'll give you as much sympathy as Liverpool gave us in those instances - **** all sympathy
Take a look at the tackle in this recent game, the player won the ball but followed through with a studs up challenge, the player was penalised but was'nt sent off and his teamates surrounded the referee after the decision. We got a player red carded and we are getting charged for not controlling our players after they argued the ref's decision. Double standards from the FA in two games only days apart.
Kenny agrees with me,in fact everyone who is impartial agrees, except the FA http://www.liverpoolfc.tv/news/latest-news/kenny-on-suarez-and-fa-charge
Credit to bellers for not making a meal of it. most would have hit the deck like they'd bein snipered.
I have no idea why you think the FA will somehow be consistent Eric, I also have no idea why you think they don't treat English players more lienently, they absolutely do. All this and they go and back a player that has gone and kicked someone intentionally to appeal a ban. FA are what they are and have not changed one bit
...bit strong to say the ref 'acted' on it. All he has to say in the match report was that he'd seen it and decided to take no action. Not that we were going to get any decisions going our way... If Bellers had hit the floor, he'd have probably been booked for simulation.
I'd like to call eric on the precident thing. sorry but that is NOT the case. rooney swore right into a camera lens that happened to be live... he therefore got out on to tv and this the pc brigade were called in. to equate that with a non televised incident is WRONG, when there are exactly identical precidents of the exact same issue going unpunished. end of story. its inconsistency
At least Luis was 'responding' to having received the dogs' abuse for most of the match. But we've been here before. God was punished for responding to the Bitter Blues' abuse by 'sniffing a white line' and the FA did for him there. Typical FA really. The only consistency is that Liverpool cop for it, no matter what...
