Got caught with the itv local news preview but think I’ll be ok . Needless to say it’s going to be a “ reflection “ of the day when “ the cup came home” So Newcastle is apparently the “ home” of the Caraboa cup now
I reckon I've just got to avoid the north east news tonight and I'm in the clear. Tell a lie...I did see one bit on Facebook, but it was a mag falling out of a tree, so doesn't count.
I'd still give it a couple of days, mate. Maybe until Thursday or even Friday to be safe. Consider it a bit like getting pinged off test and trace during COVID. Isolate for a week or so and you should be fine. Anything after that should be pretty mild.
I've managed to avoid it completely so far! Although to be fair I never watch north east news or listen to local radio in the car because of the massive bias (unless we are on for a match).
Wife and myself were lucky enough to be at Wembley and when the lads brought the FA cup back to wearside , we managed to get a place on Fawcett Street as we couldn’t get anywhere near to get to Wearmouth bridge let alone to our ground .We waited and waited way beyond the time the bus was due to get to Roker Park until we finally saw the team with the trophy .Estimated crowd for NUFC around 300,000 estimated crowd for SAFC 1 Million not bad for the so called small club down the road . The bus was inundated from Durham to the stadium with crowds eight to ten deep meaning the bus had to crawl all the way which accounted for our extra long wait . The wife thought I was making it up so I said Google it which she did and had to admit I was right in quoting 1 Million as I said earlier not bad for our small town in the shadow of our esteemed local rivals the winners of a low level trophy that even the smoggies have won .
I was at Wembley and lucky to be in the ground as well. What a memory. As for the mags , they have actually ruined their celebrations if they ever win league or champions league , because they probably can’t go bigger for winning a bigger competition.
The comments are hilarious. Apparently if you buy Starbucks or watch Disney you’re in the pocket of the Saudis. Glad some of them aren’t thick as **** and calling their own fans out.
When the whataboutery gets wheeled out! 'You are on commenting on Facebook, you watch Disney films, where do you drink your coffee? What do you use to run your car?' My standard response. 'Yeah, using Saudi funded (insert product here), it certainly makes me feel grubby. GOD! You must feel totally rancid supporting your football team at the minute!' They dont realise that the difference is, is that I dont celebrate the fact that I have a sneaky peek online to see how an old school friend is doing. I dont dress up as Dopey when I go to the pictures to see Snow White. I dont feel or show any superiority to those who only drink cheap instant coffee at home. And I dont do a lap of honour of my factory in my car when my Saudi petrol gets me to work. I basically dont feel im openly helping to improve a countries image by using all of these things. If I was supporting Newcastle, I would.
That's funny mate, and funnier because it's all true. They all know the club is owned by a corrupt state but will trot out Abramovich at Chelsea claiming it was the same thing. They know that's untrue but it helps to cloud the issue.
Come to Saudi Arabia to learn the history of Newcastle United https://x.com/SnoopDoogyDoog/status/1906676741822640376?s=19
****ing Hell! This should be posted on every football supporters forum and news forum in the country. With a note in block capitals saying 'THIS IS NOT A PARODY ACCOUNT.' Maybe then more people will understand what is going on.
Good to see his fellow mags having a go at him in the comments. It's not so much him, I'm fairly sure he's special needs, it's who got him to spout blatant propaganda in the first place.
