We've just won 2 with the same XI. I wouldn't touch it.

We ARE serious play-off contenders. We need to show more belief as fans. If we were floating around mid-table with the occasional jump up to 9th I'd understand the view that we aren't serious yet, but as we're in the playoffs right now, the teams above us are no better than us and there seems to be more to come from us, I'd suggest we have an outside chance of automatic promotion, but as for the playoffs, of course we are serious and we should definitely be aiming for the top 6 minimum, I know the team will be.

Of course I am aiming for top 6 as a fan and the whole of Hull should get behind the lads, absolutely no question! For me, the squad is a bit thin on the ground, which hopefully will be bolstered by the return of Garcia & Olofinjana as well as potential signings in the shape of a keeper and striker.

If we are still in the mix come the end of the January window then there is no reason why we cannot clinch a top 6 finish. Basically all i was trying to say is we have a relatively young and inexperienced squad, which didn't have the consistency of a playoff contender IMO. We had four defeats in five, which was potentially damaging, however if we get three wins on the bounce it shows the tide may be turning and Barmby is instilling the confidence, belief and tactical knowledge that is required to be considered serious contenders.

Top teams do not lose four out of five games but they do win 3 on the bounce

Started off OK last night, but as he slows, he starts to do the 'sneakies' - one yellow card, but lucky it was only one by all accounts.

I personally feel more apprehensive about the coventry game than many recently. purely down to our results against lower clubs.

I feel this game is a bigger test of our recent form and if we do win, dare i say it..even grab a few goals then I will start to believe we are in a good spot for promotion and that the team and indeed NB has learnt from the Burnley game

I wasn't having a go at you in particular, that's the view of most fans. It just frustrates me a bit that we have this small time attitude. It doesn't help that the local media fedd us it (see sportstalk last night) but the table simply doesn't lie. We are in 6th now and if as fans we are just desperate to cling onto 6th it looks very negative, even in those games we lost we were very dominant, which shows we are as good as anyone and we just need to keep going the way we are. My point is the likes of Leeds, Boro and Cardiff are no better equipped than us to go up, so we should be as confident as they are.

Think that's what I was trying to say! 3 wins on the bounce would suggest we have turned a new leaf since four defeats in five

Leeds & Cardiff have more quality in their squads than us but that may change in january! I obviously want us to finish as high as possible but I also want fans to keep their feet on the ground and not be too disappointed if we do miss out on the playoffs

Thats my point exactly, at the minute we don't have enough quality that can win us games consistently! Hopefully january will change that

Hull striker Aaron Mclean has warned against complacency as his side chase a third straight league win on Saturday at Coventry City.

The Tigers followed up last weekend's home victory over Leicester with another three points thanks to goals from Robert Koren and Mclean in Wednesday night's 2-1 success against Birmingham, which lifted them back into the top six.

Mclean, who took his season's goals tally to four with the 67th-minute winner, told the club's official website: "Going into these two games we wanted to get maximum points.

"But it'll be another hard game at Coventry because they will be battling for the points. There can't be any complacency on our part because, if there is, we will get turned over.

"We'll make sure we recover and prepare properly, take the positives from the last two games and make sure we go to Coventry ready for another battle."

Disagree, I think West Ham have a significant amount more quality than anyone else in the league, but we are as good as anyone else (specially TWS, I didn't think they were very spectacular on paper last season and they've lost key players since). If you were asked to pick a weak link in our team, it'd be bloody hard. It's a sign of a good team.
