love the randomness of Lidl. So these Sivri chillis are Turkish only ever seen the pickled ones in kebab shops but **** knows why they do that as fresh they are amazing. I've been chucking them into everything.
Am about to try Wahaca. I've read good things, hopefully it'll be decent and I do know my eldest won't be able to have (yet another) burger.
Expensive. The food was very nice, but not worth the cost really. They only had bottled beer, and there's no way I'm paying nearly six quid for a bottle of Corona, or £6.50 for Model. And then they didn't have the house white wine, they only had Voignier so I ended up paying £32 for a bottle of that ffs. It was nice, but it was ten quid in a supermarket stuff. If I were to go again, I'd have the set meal for two, and even then that's £25 head.
Might give that a miss then. Got a couple of things lined up Ancient Briton for Easter Sunday, Assador 44 for Easter week and a local Italian for Easter week. Also have £20 Nandos vouchers I'm not a fan but it'll do for lunch one day.
Tonight I'm marinating chicken thighs in curry spices and then glazing with mango chutney. Done this a few times and it's really good.
It's worth a go, once. They don't do any student discount though, so we won't go again I don't think. Haven't been to The Ancient Briton for years. Good it's still doing well. Am out at mates' tonight, I think it was barbecue planned originally but it's going to rain for the first time in three weeks this evening, so maybe not. Have got a Portuguese booked for next Thursday night, Madeira. Supposed to be good.
Madeira is not good imo there's one in Cardiff and it's the same people. Mrs luv went to the Swansea one and wasn't impressed. Silly gimmick of hanging kebabs off the ceiling is ****ing stupid as well. Hopefully it'll be good for you.
It wasn't my choice. Mrs Chief suggested this one so we're just going with it. Hopefully not too ****e. I've insisted we go in The Hanbury next door to show everyone what a proper **** hole pub is all about.
