I'd love to see him start and play a full game.

But RLB’s brief is promotion so he has to do whatever he thinks best …

… as you say some players are brought in quicker than others.

He should have minutes. It's that simple.

We know that but he’s clearly not fancied. Anyone disagreeing clearly hasn’t seen the time he’s spent on the bench. Tight games where we need to mix it up - he remains on his arse.

    Not a thing mate.

The thing is the club wanted him, the manager often includes him but, for some reason, he’s not being played at the moment …

… if there are no plans for him he’d have been gone in the summer in my opinion .

    It absolutely isn’t that simple

what did you think of the other lads sitting on the bench when they were eased in?
as above? Mayenda wasn’t fancied? Neither Mundle? Do I need to keep going

Here's my opinion, if Aleksic is clearly not fancied as you say, do you really think he'd be on the bench? Surely he would be nowhere near the match day squad

Mayenda was one of many forwards at the club last season, loaned out in January. Mundle featured 11 times after signing in January, despite our best player in Clarke playing in his position

The Aleksic situation doesn’t compare. He clearly isn’t trusted off the bench currently

We won. I’d rather we won than Aleksic got minutes. I’m only going to question our manager not using subs when we drop points because of it. Otherwise he was frankly right to not change the game.

IMHO - I think we played rather well in large parts. I thought Dan Neill did a good job for what he had to do. I was pleased to see Rigg back at near his best. I think Roberts had a great game. Mundle played very well too. The remainder put in solid performances. Hume got MoTM for me. OAU

I get the debate about Aleksic, Samed, Watson etc - but we have to trust RLB and the coaching staff here

It’s never been about whether players are fancied, or the quality of the squad. It’s always been about RLB and his view of subs. He’s just not that arsed about them. He had two players that he absolutely trusts and he didn’t bring them on till near injury time. Now we can talk about whether or not that tendency of his is a good thing. Personally I don’t believe it is. However RLB he done pretty well this season doing things his way so I’m not gonna complain too much.

this. He doesn’t like changing games. Which is a problem when we drop points. We won today. If he’d made more or earlier subs we might not have.

3 points. On track for playoffs. But some want a new manager or go on like they do. ****ing tedious.

There’s no guarantee that we’d have won if Aleksic had come on …

… if we’d lost the manager would get the blame.

Those most vocal in slating Le Bris for not giving Aleksic more playing time are the same people, I guarantee, that would be the first calling Aleksic (and Le Bris) worse than ****e if he came in and had a below par performance.

Mayenda was one of many forwards of which weren’t firing and still wasn’t ‘fancied’ aleksic is one of many midfielders where’s the same approach from you here?

Also one of them came from Serbia without speaking a word of the language the same way Mayenda couldn’t really when he first came.

but that doesn’t suit your narrative

mainly kept away from here recently, could see the 'tide was turning' and honestly cba with all that again...not read through the whole thread so apologies if i repeat stuff.

good first half, good attacking threat from the off and we deserved the goal, makeshift defensive line held it together well i thought.

rigg looked much better than in recent weeks, neil had nowt much to do but came back into it in the 2nd half, this will probably not go down well but i feel as if jobe is more bothered about the style of his play as if he simply does not want to 'look silly' on the pitch and it seems to cause him to delay shots, not saying the lad is bad at all but i would just like him to hit those shots immediately as other than that he had another decent game.

now, not sure what has been said in training but when i saw onien with the ball for the penalty my heart sank, this stage of the season and we still do not have a set penalty taker and we saw a bit of an argument over it, hope they get it sorted.

ref watch, i have never made a secret of my feelings for 'mad-lee' and today confirmed them, how the feck did he get a premiership call, stupidly he is probably the most consistent ref we get, equally bad for both sides.

    MotM for me is Hume.

What do we gain from flogging the same Xl players for 90 minutes every week though? It’s obvious our performances have dropped because the players are knackered. Last season the excuse was that we have nobody on the bench who’s good enough, this season we’ve got a bench full of lads who are good enough and none of them can get more than a few minutes at the end of the match. Do think subs are a real downside of RLB at the minute. Are we really going to be that much of a worse team with Aleksic playing the last 15 minutes fresh as a daisy instead of Jobe strolling around at 50% blowing out of his arse?

I think the subs or lack of them were fine today. We could have played Aleksic more throughout the season but there probably wouldn't have been a lot of benefit, next season will be the one for him.
