Oh come on - give us some credit. We've played you twice this season and you've nicked it 6-5 on aggregate.
Oh no I mean if we go up I think he’s the man we need to go for. Would fit us well and knows how to win/defend, would also make us more of an attraction in the PL. If we somehow manage to not **** this I don’t think Farke is the man for the PL, we should be pissing the league with this team but yet again it looks like we might fall apart. Obviously players have to be blamed too but if we do go up an overhaul is needed because we’d be absolutely smashed playing most PL sides with how we played today. Crazy passing/decision making at times.
score was close at your place but thought we were the better team. Completely different today… thought you played some good football, bossed the first half and the draw you got was the least you deserved
Meslier has. You think he’s set the howler bar pretty high… but doesn’t rest on his laurels - and responds with a bigger one
When you say we, and correct me if I’m wrong but aren’t you a Hull Supporter? Drop your tools Larry you’re not really cut out for the undercover stuff
Sorry bud love your positive posts but… please break that into a few paragraphs, simply can’t read one sentence with 900 words
Credit where it’s due, and it is. But…. Why do we have this conversation with every teams fans? Why can’t you be great against everyone?
The team has results wise- Next 7 after the Sunderland 2-2 picked up 16 pts Next 7 after the Hull 3-3 picked up 19 pts Only thing on those 2 occasions it was international break after Sunderland and FA Cup break after Hull. Straight back to it next Saturday!
Don't know how anyone can defend Meslier over the last 3 seasons. He's played a big part of the club losing close to half a billion quid.
It would be very interesting to find out if there's been a lot of betting on a draw in the 3 matches I think he has thrown.we need to get rid now.
I’ve not checked but it wouldn’t surprise me if out of those 7 games he had a total of around 14 shots on target. I remember straight after Hull a few very edge of your seat distributions from him. As a team, we don’t ask a lot from him, our goal is never peppered I’ll say it again, how many times has an opposition keeper been mom against us or if you’re scoring out of 10 would be on 8 How many times has Meslier been an 8/10 or mom in three years. All keepers guess which way to dive at a penalty a few times, it only took Meslier 23 attempts. He has poor distribution, he flaps, his positioning is poor, can’t deal with crosses, he’s not far off Rachbuka
Think LDS is saying the team have responded well to Meslier’s calamities. Who knows maybe it’s galvanised them. I suspect it’s just that we’re been better than everybody all season - but now in the final stretch of the season, for the first time we’re playing poorly and struggling every game. Meanwhile, sheff united and Burnley are playing well and deserving of the results they’re getting.
Said at the start of the season, if anything will cost us promotion, it will be sticking with Meslier. Farke not replacing him in January was ridiculous especially when he turned another keeper down, if he has no confidence in Darlow replacing him, why the **** was he signed. This is as much Farke's fault as Meslier's if not more, 10 points the **** as cost us. 5 draws that should have been wins.
Ironically, the only manager that had the bollocks to drop Meslier was Allardyce. He got that one bang on. There was alot of anger (even in the East stand) over the first goal. When the 2nd goal was shown on the big screen there was an audible groan around the stadium. Full time whistle went and the crowd loudly boo'd presumably at Meslier.
If Meslier starts the next game then I'm going to completely flip and switch to the Farke out gang. So far I've blamed players for making mistakes but with Meslier this is now become a normal occurance and it should no longer be accepted. It shouldn't have been accepted early doors. Next game should be Darlow or even Cairns in for Meslier and controversially I'd drop Solomon for Gnonto. Solomon was poor yesterday and had a sulk at QPR. Punish the little twat and show the others that there are consequences for their actions.
True dat. He got alot wrong did Big Sam but Robles did improve things at the back. The defenders looked a bit more confident. Rodon and Struijk are in constant panic when the ball goes in behind. Meslier did the hokey cokey again yesterday twice when it was a simple come out and collect moment. That was before his **** up.
