Now that we've defeated Birmingham, Leicester, Derby and Nottingham Forest, a Nap Hand of Midland wins beckons on Saturday when we take on the 'mighty' Coventry City. Recent form suggests a mere formality but we all know how the Tigers can fare against teams down at the basement....how do you reckon this one will pan out? I think Sir Nick will be tempted to give CS a rest on the bench for this one although I hope not, he's been on fire since his return. Ecstatic to hear that RoKo has signed up for another year....COYH.
our only enemy could be complacency and not for a minute do I think NB will allow any of that nonsense - 3 points for me.
Donny beat Southampton last week. Anyone can beat anyone. We are nowhere near good enough to be arrogant about any challenge in the division. Don't let us turn into Leicester fans!
Football in the Midlands seems to be in a muddle at the moment, the "heart of football" is only just registering a pulse.
Very true Theo, we will drop points against the so called easier teams and gain some when we don't expect any..win, lose or draw we are in with a chance of a play off spot along with half the teams in the championship . having a chance is good enough for me
It's the ideal game for us, we know we're very good on the road and being where they are Coventry will have to come at us a bit which I'm sure will play into our hands. I don't think resting Stewart is an option at the moment, who would you play instead?
Coventry need wins SO will come out to play which in turn plays right into Hull Citys hands. I dont expect any change in team or formation unless Dawson is feeling the 2 games in 5 days syndrome. Then Dudgeon will come back after a rest. I think that a few will get rested in the FA CUP match with Ipswich when the squad players will get a game. Also, so far we have not missed Brady and i dont expect we shall on saturday. Then for Millwall City will have Brady and Garcia ready for the bench. Better options. I expect the Barmby effect and the lessons of defeats to Barnsley and Burnley especially to make sure this game ends in a Hull City win.
Can't wait, my Mrs' uncle and cousins are big Cov fans. Taunting them already, gonna taunt them through the game, and forever after it, just like last time
if neg nigel was still here, id say saturday would be a cast iron 1-1 draw just like donny and bristol when they where both bottom.. hopefully barmby will realise we have the superior players and keep going for the attack , 3-2 city!
I would print that scoreline out and **** over it all night! Or better yet, glue it to my mrs' forehead
I would like to think we should win this one and it will be a true measure of how we are shaping up! 3 wins on the bounce would suggest we are serious play-off contenders but failure to pick up 3 points on Saturday could raise caution regarding our consistency and ability to pick up necessary wins. For the record I am going to go for a 2-1 City win
