The only thing I will say is that we had enough of the ball, probably more than them and a number of times where it went into their box yet nothing at the end of it, they didn’t create that much apart from the disastrous goal and hitting the post. However they will now have along with Derby a lot more confidence after their last three results for the run in.

Hull City head coach Ruben Selles told BBC Radio Humberside:

"You can lose matches, that can happen. I'm more disappointed in our reaction after going 1-0 down.

"The goal was an action we can avoid, but it took us more than 30 minutes to react and start to build up the pitch and put them under pressure.

"We lost a little bit of our identity in these moments. I'm disappointed because I expect my team to come back quicker and put the opposition on the back foot and under pressure a bit more."

This from the BBC report sums us up.......'coming against a team who had previously taken just eight points out of a possible 57 on the road'

Derby play Preston at home on Wednesday after Preston have given everything against Villa in the cup.

If what he said above is right, he needs to have a close look at himself. If it isn't working in his capacity he needs to fix it and not wait that 30 minutes. And I said earlier the starting line up was pants. Crooks for all his lethargy is at last a physical presence. Palmer should have come on in that 30 minutes that we really needed to wake up and make the difference has he had in the last two games.

What a horrendous performance that was. Can't pick a top 3 for the MOM thread because everyone was poor. Comedy OG, Clueless going forwards and didn't test their keeper until the 93rd minute. Sorry, but Joseph looks every inch a L1 striker - someone needs to tell him you don't have time to take 3 touches before shooting. Without Pedro, our attack looks to have no focal point. All of that said, we are now in a 7 game mini league against the teams below us. Despite today's disastrous performance, it's still in our own hands. We just need to get as many points from the last 7 games as 3 of the teams below us. A positive result at Towels next week would be a good start!

    Re. the comments on Joseph.
What the heck must Burstow be thinking?
And what the heck must Selles and his coaches think of him (to be starting Joseph)?
Not saying Burstow is a world beater, but I'd put him well ahead of Joseph every day of the week atm.
I can't get my head round the thinking as Joseph has so far offered nothing, and doesn't look like he'll ever score. At least Burstow has shown he can pop up with the occasional goal and has at least a bit of something about him.
We desperately need Pedro to come back on fire, and we need Barry back to match fitness asap as another option. We are so seriously devoid of attacking threat across the whole team.
At the same time a psychologist needs to get into Kamara's head and convince him that he's a flying winger who can rip defences apart.

Barring Pedro, all our strikers this season have been duds. People talk about strikers that can score 20 goals in a season but Bedia, Burstow and Joseph aren’t even 10 or 5 goals-a-season strikers at this level.

Last sentence... he's had 39 games to do that. I like you hope that having Pedro back makes a difference and he himself is conscious of what his stupid tackle has done and has a point to prove.

Missed the whole game because of a family event I couldn't avoid - had to make do with occasional glances at my phone.

Just caught up with the threads on here during the drive back (the Missus was at the wheel). I guess I need to watch the highlights which I imagine will be short, but the comments on here paint a picture of a lack of intensity, a general cluelessness in creating anything, **** defending for the goal and the usual utterly toothless display upfront.

Is that about the long and the short of it?
