No you have to see the bigger picture. The bigger picture is we invest in people we get rewards. We pay better, they spend money. We give young people joy and care, they cost less. There is money out there to create a happier healthier safer world and the knock on impact is the people in it feel hope and unity. The finger needs pointing at greed and those who have millions billions trillions and pay less tax are the cause of this. You sound like a millionaires PR agent. Why? Because the majority of the media are just exactly this. The economy isn’t working for most people, so think critically and change it. Stop rabbiting out the usual ****.
Anybody with any sense would agree with you, but, and here’s the big but how do you get millionaire’s/ billionaire’s to do this? Because if you tax them to the hilt Britain won’t have any millionaire’s/ billionaire’s. So can you think of the solution that would work?
Let them go. They don't spend any of their great wealth or put into the economy. As an example if anyone or anything earned £200k a day every day since the birth of Jesus Christ 2025 years ago they STILL wouldn't have as much money as Elon Musk.
You haven’t been keeping up with the news, have you. Millionaires have left Britain in record numbers since the new Labour government took power amid a crackdown on non-dom residents and sweeping tax hikes. The UK lost a net 10,800 millionaires to migration last year, a 157 per cent increase on 2023 and more than any other country bar China, the Times reported. In fact, the actual number moving out could be even higher as the net figure factors in millionaires who arrive in the country.
Who writes the headlines? How much did we lost by leaving the EU? Get that in the Daily Mail instead. Force them onto a plane to Rwanda and take pics the tax dodging haters of British Values.
While your opinion is a good one, pre-election, a few millionaire business said why would you leave the UK.
Mental that people think taxing the rich is the answer yet say nothing about the millions of self employed who don’t declare their actual income and steal from the country. That’s fine though cos they’re “working class”. Hundreds of thousands of working age people who do anything they can not to work.. We taxed the rich heavily in the 60s and it worked, because money and businesses weren't so easy to move. If anyone thinks that someone is going to be willing pay an extra £100m a year in tax that they see absolutely no benefit from when they can literally just relocate and pay nothing then you’re a lost cause. Where’s the incentive? Give us loads more money so we can waste it throwing it at the likes of the NHS that’s absolutely ****e and burning through cash whilst most of us can’t even get an appointment? Big corporations certainly need taxing more but taxing individuals on their income will simply just make them move abroad and I’m sure we’ll suffer more from not taxing said rich person millions of pounds a year than we will for getting him off the books of the NHS, which he likely receives **** all from anyway because anyone with money and half a brain cell is going private.
