It's absolutely shabby and always has been, I'd guess at 500 on Saturday.

I have the dreary prospect of Mags on the train from Edinburgh to Newcastle ...

... and Millwall on the Metro to Sunderland.

Still, it's only Thursday night so I have time to invent a tele-transporter so I can go from Fife to the Museum at one o'clock on Saturday.

    Here I go <whistle>

Think changing formation would be a mistake. If Anderson has to play left back, then so be it, but let's not start dragging people out of position

    Patterson
    Hume Mepham O'Nien Anderson
    Neil Jobe Browne
    Roberts Isidor Mundle

I tried to edit my post earlier and tag the YouTube training video on but it bizarrely wouldn’t work. Here it is belatedly, anyway, without the ads

    Edit… it’s still not playing!

I wonder if YouTube have cottoned on that embedded videos skip the ads and aren’t happy.

Think Riggy will start in this one and his confidence will ve very high after the internationals, same with Jobe.
I am hoping we are on the front foot more than we have been of late as I believe we are more suited to a high tempo game.
Of course the opposition will know that and try to negate it so it will be down to us to try and fi d a way.
I still think since the new Portuguese coach came in we have tried to be more defensive in our attitude which may be a coincidence. But we certainly seem to have lost some confidence and assuredness on the ball.
Worth noting also that whilst Dodds was not a great number 1 he was certainly highly respected by the team which has no doubt had an effect as well.
Like I said earlier I believe the fans have their part to play which I also believe is as important as everything else.
Do the players need to give us something to shout about or do we need to raise the roof so they can give us everything they have. We don't need a catalyst we as fans are the catalyst.
Wish I could be there as I would be cheering my heart out. Don't let past feelings cloud your judgment we can't change the past but we can shape the future.

Regis Le Bris came to stark Sunderland conclusion after Coventry

    upload_2025-3-28_7-55-4.jpeg

    https://www.thenorthernecho.co.uk/s...is-came-stark-sunderland-conclusion-coventry/

REGIS Le Bris was "disappointed and angry" after Sunderland's heavy defeat at Coventry before the international break - but wasn't overly concerned....

He said: "We were disappointed and angry, like our fans after the game.

"It wasn't really Sunderland on the pitch, that was clear.

"We looked exhausted. We've been really good so far, so after 38 games it wasn't a huge surprise. It wasn't a comfortable feeling but it's not unusual for a very young team with many injuries and a small core.

"It was more an accident. Tactically, the mindset of the players was OK. it was just a question of performance. Sometimes the level can drop and you don't have only one explanation.

"It wasn't a good feeling. We were disappointed and angry but we still have 10 points more than Coventry at this stage of the season.

"We are still in a really good position. We need everyone involved in this state of the season to build strong momentum."

Setbacks, believe Le Bris, are inevitable in a long and gruelling Championship season, and what matters is how you respond to them, as Sheffield United showed when they bounced back from a surprise 3-0 defeat to Hull with four straight wins a couple of months ago.

After tomorrow's visit of Millwall, Sunderland have two away games at West Brom and Norwich, before returning to the Stadium of Light to host Swansea.

Le Bris said: "We have shown good reactions after defeats. I'm not really worried.

"We've spoken a lot about ups and downs during the season. We've had more ups than downs.

"This league requires resilience. We are in this part of the season. I think we have the resources to react."

We looked exhausted? Hardly a surprise when it’s mostly the same side, week in week out.

I have felt the same way about him , as I think have the club, but he has looked half decent recently and if needs must so be it.
A back 3 would be handy at times of shortage (no pun intended) certainly worth a try at least, with so little cover at full back.
It might also give us some control in midfield which I think has often been missing, as well as Reg's rigid formula has done this season, there's always options to consider and other ways to get a result.

Good for you mate, hope you have a cracking day.

'Realistically' we may only need to win four more games, this season, to end up in the PL ...

... of course, then the comments would be 'scraped in through the back door, etc'.

I'll be in the Museum before the game from around 1.30 <cheers>
