    Match Preview;
Back to it after another international break that, I'll be honest, failed to capture my attention really. Apparently France had a big game, but honestly couldn't be bothered with it. Am I just too cynical?

As for this Saturday, long trip up north to face a Stoke side who have won three, drawn two and lost five in their last ten. That run has seen them drop down to 20th, with 38 points...just a point ahead of Derby County and the drop zone. They have only scored 37 this year, and have conceded 51, which means they are joint second lowest on goals scored, alongside Millwall, but Millwall have only conceded 39. Mark Robbins was appointed as their boss in January, replacing Narcis Pelach, who was only in charge for 19 games...of which he only won 3. Robbins has improved on that record, and has won 4 of his 15 games so far.

As for us, we've lost 7, drawn 1 and won 2 in our last ten. We sit securely and quite comfortably mid-table, 15th, 7 points from 22nd and 12 points from 6th. With injured players coming back and getting back to fitness, I think the rest of the season will be spent getting some players back to full fitness, trying to avoid any serious injuries and getting enough points to go into the last few games with nothing to play for, and maybe the chance to experiment with some different formations, and give some of the youngsters more game time.

Team news and manager comments to go up when on the official, enjoy if you are making the trip, and as always...COME ON YOU SUPER HOOPSA!!!!

Thanks Dave! I think we are sitting insecurely in 15th, only 7 points above a relegation spot with 8 games to play, 6 games and over a month since we last won and with many key players out injured. We are in a relegation fight and will be until we can get 2 or 3 wins on the board.

There are a lot of other teams down there as well, they won’t all do well. I can see Derby under Eustace escaping. A win at Stoke would be handy but can’t say I’m full of confidence.

    What a schizoid season.

    Cheers Dave.

I was choosing to have a 'glass half-full' afternoon, but you are probably right.

I won’t be going to this one.
Don’t like anything to do with Stoke, so l’m staying home.
Hoping we can grab all three points and run.

I well remember that 1975 match, not one of Parkes finest conceding a couple of poor goals early in the 2nd half but the unlikely hero was Dave Webb with a late winner. It was our home form that kept us in touch during the middle part of the season as we had only one away win by mid January when we suddenly hit our purple patch...

I'm with you Oslo. I have this niggling feeling that we will survive but not before a rollercoaster ride that dips us just above the bottom three for a week or two. I can't help feeling that if we were to get, say, 1 or 2 points out of the next 9 available, the teams below us will grab a win or two to drag us in the mire. I do believe we'll survive but i also see a scary few weeks ahead as we struggle for the points we need. 4 points out of our last 7 games isn't exactly confidence-building and if we repeat that, we'll only go to 49 points - not enough to survive me-thinks.
Let's get 3 points on Saturday and alleviate my worries - come on you R'sssssssssss!!!

I'm guessing Saito is out for the next 3 games as well due to his red card against Leeds. Haven't seen amy confirmation of that though?

We've had two weeks to get some of the injured back and rest the squad too. Some, of course, have international duty.

I think we will do OK and not get sucked back down (but I would not put money on it!)

Been a while since I drove there but the shuttle bus to get the away fans out and back to the station is good if you park up in what is a beautiful city and take in some of the local culture.

Or I often use this. Some spots 10 mins walk or so away which is probably better for getting away after. The reviews will tell you if it’s good to use for the ground.

Thank you. I used that app and booked into the Holiday Inn Express which is just a 2 min walk. £15. There may well be cheaper but wanted peace of mind at a commercial site rather than someone's drive. Thx again.

We must have a good record at their new ground. The win when Eze scored was glorious, a couple of particularly feisty ones under Holloway, the Adomah goal a couple of years ago, a win there in the first Prem season.
