That was always the case. Though his other mistake was to give the money/players to the wrong managers
It's odd that having Mike Ashley and everything that's happened before and after was required for that final win to happen. Without Mike Ashley, it wouldn't have been possible, although we will never know what the alternative universes would have turned out to be. It's unlikely we'd have ended up in this almost perfect present.
I have a strong suspicion that had we been taken over by Mansour in 2008, we’d have won one or two trophies by now, without Mikes wonderful support.
Ashley just happened to own us previously, it wasn't required that he needed to own it for this to happen, anyone could have owned it. Likewise for this to happen all the Ashley stuff wasn't required - ie a fat ****tard sitting in a shirt with the fans, Joe Kinnear, Steve McClaren and Bruce being appointed, the Keegan debacle, the renaming of the stadium, the 2 relegations etc. Ashley was just there at the time.
I don't think you understand.. The fact is he did buy Newcastle and if someone else did everything after would be completely different. I went as favour as catering for unknown possibles in the post you're replying to. It's the same as your existence, but on a smaller scale. .. Every single thing that has taken place since life began in your creation had to happen for you to be here Today.
The express have gone with a story that Isak has rejected a new contract. Their sauce? CaughtOffside…….
It's just something we'll have to put up with. It's not beyond the possibility he does choose a bigger club in the not to distant future, but it's also possible he stays and Newcastle kick on even further next season. We're hearing nufc fans claiming outright it's nonsense and he's staying and other fans assuming he won't stay...nobody can be sure.
Or they didn't offer the required amount and went elsewhere. Either way it's all resulted in this reality Today.
Well yes it's what happened, but if someone else had bought it, I assume they'd still have sold to the Saudis. I give Ashley credit for one thing and one thing only - selling to the Saudis when he had no obligation to do so and was making money from the club.
We don't know what would have happened but the outcome would be very different. I mean, you can assume the future was so different that Newcastle weren't attractive at the time the Saudis wanted to buy a club. I'm not assigning credit, although I agree with your second point because Ashley did dig in to get the sale done, that's just one example of everything that has happened, that had to happen to produce the outcome we're experiencing.
I mean literally he's away at present so not sure who he or his entourage will be telling this to at Caught Offside. Add to this he still has 3 years on his contract so it's not like we are in an imminent danger of losing him for anything less than we would want to sell him for. Maybe next summer he goes for £100m if we can't agree a contract with him but 12 months of no sweat for us unless we get an outrageous offer.
Bollock sites like caughtoffside can do what they want, they’re completely immune to any repercussions for flat out lies all they want is clicks. What I’m stunned by is both the Express and Talkshite have run with it as if they’re a reputable source!!!!! TALKSPORT EXCLUSIVE - Isak going to Arsenal for £120m (source: IndyKalla)
