Somewhere on this forum is Man U fans gloating about winning 20 and me responding "I bet we beat you to 21, you will stop winning when Fergie goes" On the verge of us getting to 20, I wish I could find it. It'll probably be a few more years before we win again... But I think we'd be favourite from most people to get to 21 first.
I remember thinking at their 18th it would be the kick up the hole the club needed to go back rafa I can't see this beingnenoigh of a kick to change utd. There's a middling chance city reach 20 before they win utd's 21st. Not huge but you can only see city spending more and more but 10 to 1 would be a lot i suppose.
At some point City's owners will get tired of spending or think it's not worth it anymore. I don't know when that will happen, but it will be interesting to see what happens to City when the taps are turned off.
The owners don't care about football. They'll stay with City as long as it gives them the global influence and soft power they require.
In this case the interest is... When will the owners think it's no longer such a good advert for the country? Surely at this point theyre already hitting the point of diminishing returns. Each year gives them less of a boost for the country PR than the year before.
