Increasing the price of a pint to £5 is part of Rachel from accounts strategy for sustained economic growth. Keeping working class people off the drink will mean they have more money to pay for Labours net zero madness and the UK having amongst the highest prices, and increasing prices for energy in Europe.

Like the attacks on the OAP'S, the care sector, the vulnerable the mission diminishing the living standards of people is for their own good.

Who can afford that? Well we know who.

Labour and the Greens intend turning the centre into a liveable neighbourhood for their wealthy progressive students. Their not stopping at vehicles they don't like, their cleansing the entire area by turning it into a student ghetto, and their going to reintroduce the toll houses on Princes street bridge to keep the riff raff away.

    The time is coming
The sane and patriotic citizens of this country are sick and tired of seeing our county and values taken away from us along with our freedoms of movement and speech, whilst the Government are spaffing hundreds of billions of pounds on people and policies that I object to whilst we suffer ridiculous levels of taxation and an invasion
Don’t care whether it’s Lowe or Farage but I want someone who has the foresight to put an end to every nightmare that the Tories and Labour have created over the last 30 years or so

On April 1st (yes), sentencing guidelines will exist that discriminate against white people and Christians. The Labour government has the power to intervene, and they have chosen not to even though the justice secretary accepts the guidelines are wrong.

Who is surprised ? We are already second class citizens in our own country while we allow foreign criminals to appeal and appeal and appeal again against their proposed deportation as it may infringe their human rights, until they are allowed to remain.
We ignore things like FGM, forced marriages, and 1st cousins getting it on.
These laws need to be rewritten not to discriminate against the majority, and to regain some morals, not allowing lots of 3rd world, barbaric and medieval practices to continue unchallenged

PLEASE EXPLAIN how stopping people drinking will add more money to spend for net zero tolerance.... and how stopping drinking increases energy prices?

Angelic, we have a classic example of the chaos that reform/ lowe would cause ... its called the the "2 tier granny harming no ideas dont answer the Q " MOB that was gifted into power by the very short sighted electorate on July 4th 2024.
not many are aware that a vast majority of the labour MP's elected back then were "no hopers" just filling the ballot and no doubt some have now found they have earnings in a job they are are in the infancy of no real ideal of what to do! and getting paid probably 4 or 5 maybe 6 times what they were on before 04/07/2025.

point is [ and know you feel Tories didnt do anything from 2010 but they did ] Tories have a depth of knowledgable candidates REFORM has a mere handful "politicians" Lib dems have a few .. new party needs to find 600+ and like just a few politicians amongst them........... BUT THE KEY is they must have the savvy to be able to work things out in a steady informed way with inter cohesion of departments ...
Labour has no uk economy intellects at the helm least of all the PM / DEPUTY PM/ CHANCELOR / AND AT LEAST 10 MORE of the cabinet Reform would come in without half of what Labour or Lib dems have to offer [ as would another new party ].

you do seem to believe the tories brought nightmares to the table full stop I cant agree, sorry there were a couple of media storms that blew some things out of proportion and the odd character might have have been less than 100% foolproof. BUT GO BACK TO December 2010 .... SEE WHAT THEY STARTED with ... then say what would I do to get out of this really deep deep deep neck deep mire we have inherited ... then move on to June 2024 and see the toe deep mire we were still in then to December 2024 after 6 months of 2 tier and the knee mire and getting deeper we are now in!!!!

At a push, I'd vote for and settle for the Tories again, but I'd prefer Jenrick to be in charge, and they would have to be serious about not only closing our wide open borders, and stopping buck shee family members from joining foreign students here, but shipping thousands of plane loads of people who are here illegally elsewhere, and amending our broken justice laws would have to be in place before they ever get my vote again.
Whether its the Tories, Reform, Lowe/Habibs new party or any sort of merger, we're at the crossroads now, and things can't continue as they are as there will be dire consequences if we do.
The country is broke, businesses have no confidence in Labour and we are still spending billions of tax payers money on migrants/hotels and the likes of the woke Arts Council whilst seemingly doing nothing to change things.

The country needs serious SERIOUS reforms going forward.

Despite what they are saying, I don't believe that Labour will actually (be allowed) to cut any of the now 500,000 members of the bloated Civil Service or deal with the crazy Welfare bill and address the 20% of adults of working age with no income other than benefits, no matter what they say,

You have heard of irony, and jokes!

I work in social care, where people are struggling, and I mean struggling where their wages do not meet their bills, where significant numbers of people are living in poverty. People live pay to pay. We are the poorly paid. We are the underclass. The worthless, the not worth an increase, any increase in pay, while others with more value?

We have a government that has turned the act of buying a pint into a luxury. A pint at £5 is beyond the means, or justification of my colleagues. People are being ground into the dirt by energy prices, council tax, stagnating wages (in care) and the cost of living. And in the care sector this has already got worse during Labours tenure.

I understand what you say, agree with your thinking and am disgusted at the lies and deceit of this so called Labour government.

I have always admitted to being a middle of the road Conservative but when the tenure of the last lot was over I felt great relief and was genuinely ready to accept the will of the majority, although I voted for my own beliefs, Centrism ,but my god, what lies, u-turns and failure we are all bearing and it's going to get worse.

Labour said they’d smash the gangs
But all they do is smash records for illegals coming into this country

Almost 30,000 have arrived since Labour came to power

LAST FIGURE OF 357 WOULD HAVE PAID FOR the steel mill Saviour in less than 2 weeks ......... IN 12 MONTHS JUST THE LAST BOATLOAD WILL BURDEN US WITH cost exceeding £17,500,000 in the next 12 months

imagine if we have that amount of cash to waste each year they could pay for around 500 of the steel workers wages for a 12 month......

It’s a worldwide problem no one has found an answer. Tories certainly didn’t, they failed abysmally over a long period. Labour aren’t any better but in fairness haven’t had as long. Will their present strategy work eventually, we’ve no idea. As for Farage party I can’t see theirs working either. If RR’s to be believed we’ll find out in a few years time.

I see that Yvette thinks she has the answer ... going after companies that pay black market wages .. apparently in 2023 when a survey of RAIDS was complete 2 in every 5? were undocumented mostly being housed hotels we paid for and average tax free earnings were £1,500 per month... the only 3 that actually some effort to sort the weeds from the chaff are deliveroo/uber/ just eat........ however who is not to know if the person is actually the one which that passes the "test" ... a few years back a crack down on driving licences showed that the person who took the test was not the person the person the licence! think the result was over200? found out ... it included HGV licences as well!

Two tier today stating record numbers of illegal immigrants have been deported despite the removal of the Rwandan gimmick.

UK Prime Minister on X: "RETURNED: More than 24,000 people who have no legal right to be in the UK, including 3,594 foreign national offenders. This is the highest returns rate for eight years and the four biggest return flights ever. Our Plan for Change is securing our borders. https://t.co/gMW1pPxdza" / X

The figure for enforced returns is 6,339. The previous number is 5,224. Returns from the UK from 5 July 2024 to 22 March 2025 - GOV.UK

Meanwhile the securing of the borders is seeing an increase in illegal crossings of the channel. A secure increase!!

His plan is that if we get a million illegals and he gives them all UK citizenship, that’s his future Labour voters
