First sprint race of 2025 - might make setup a bit tricky especially after last weekends wet race. 56 laps of the 5.451-kilometre Shanghai International Circuit 21st March Practice 1 03:30 - 04:30 21st March Sprint Qualifying 07:30 - 08:14 22nd March Sprint 03:00 - 04:00 22nd March Qualifying 07:00 - 08:00 23rd March Race 07:00 - 09:00 All times are UK times Poll closes before Quali - Saturday!!!!! I hope the tv and the race coverage do justice to remembering Eddie.
Interested to see the straight line speed trade offs against those who are good in the medium high speed corners here- a few clues on the flexing rear wing front?? Think Williams might go really well in sprint quali out of the box.
Well that was unexpected and gives some hope the season won’t go exactly as recent form had suggested - although the McLarens did go relatively better on the mediums which will likely be the sprint race tyre. Outside of the obvious, Bearman bounced back well from a horrible Australian event, certainly didn’t expect to see a Haas up in 12th.
Good to see Lewis in a better place. Tomorrow may be very different. Lewis has been moody for a few years and I am sure his motivation suffered as a result. As the saying goes "One swallow does not make a summer" but it is better than none and could determine the season mood.
Nice to see Lewis get pole, that should boost his mood. Hopefully he is getting settled into the car and it's not a one off. Fingers crossed he can stay at the front as Ferrari can't really screw up the strat on a Sprint race - well I hope they can't. Can't see Marko keeping Lawson in the Red Bull for long when Yuki is doing that well. Would be nice to see what Yuki could do in the Red Bull - I'm sure they must have tested him in the simulator. Well done to Bearman and Bortoleto both out qualifying their more experienced team mates - not sure if teams made a mistake in strat?
Well done Lewis, start to finish in the lead.Hope it`s the first of many for Ferrari. Go for it now in the GP.
If he can continue to manage the tyres that well again he`s going to be looking at least a podium tomorrow , he managed that superbly.
Apart from a win, I do think Lewis manages the crowd well, and they appreciate it. Anyway, good drive, I am sure there will be many surprises in the long season ahead. It won't be an easy.
It`s so good to see Lewis happy and smiling again when he`s being interviewed. There has been far too many sad faces at the end of races in the past few years from him. Must agree about Lewis managing the crowd well,.He loves them and they love him.
The enthusiasm from the Ferrari pit wall for that first Lewis win ,be it a sprint win was a sight to behold. I think one person put their arm to celebrate it.
Just watching the sprint again and Norris seems like he will be getting a couple of calls from the swearing police!
Interesting couple of days where the order has slightly amended each session. Long run pace on the hards is the key tomorrow. No one has run them yet. Teams have made some set up changes to try and preserve the front tyres but not sure how it will impact race pace. Gut feel is that McLaren might have the better long tyre life but there’s a high chance of two stops I think- clean air will help
