The russians are literally doing that now in territories they took by force. Burning books, arresting people for pro-Ukraine posts/msgs, brainwashing kids... Ukrainians are not eliminating russian culture, there are still russian-language TV shows, newspapers, etc....It's pretty ****ing understandable that they're not keen on russia right now though.
