Bristol City 2 up v Norwich. Another game, another team caught out playing out from the back but excellent goal by Wells tbf. As was the first by Sykes They press well and put defenders under pressure a lot which we don’t like or do particularly.
So basically the whole history of the tournament is a waste of time really or since the PL was created as all the winners are invalid ? Guess their fans won’t mind either way whereas Liverpool’s would have seen it as a secondary prize. I mean supposed there is the EFL trophy for just some EFL sides only which maybe counts more as a Football league run tournament .
They will hope to be better in the second leg. What happens to the winners ? Is there another round ..
Choose your Plymouth Argyle dream team for Watford away. I nominate the side that lost 6-1 at Norwich earlier this season - with my second pick being the side that lost 0-5 at home to Burnley. https://www.plymouthherald.co.uk/sp...ws/choose-your-plymouth-argyle-dream-10041624
Reading look to be in a spot of bother - the owner has been told to sell up by the 5th April or the club faces expulsion from the EFL.
And we complain sometimes about our owners Better to be owned by the Pozzos than a chancer like Bassini
They have been in bother for a while now . The current keeps rejecting offers . Sad times for the Royals.
Have been reading about the Lucas Paqueta trial, but there's one thing I can't find any info on. If he's found guilty, and the FA get their way with a lifetime ban - do West Ham get any compensation for the £50 million transfer fee they forked out for him? Anyone know?
Seems they have got the lawyers ready which is no great surprise. https://www.claretandhugh.info/astronomical-payout-west-ham-paqueta-could-hit-fa-for-100m/amp/
I'm not sure what I'm missing here - if he's found guilty I can't see what grounds he would have to sue the FA - it would have been all his own fault. I suppose West Ham suing the FA would give them more chance of recouping the transfer fee than if they sued the real culprit - Paqueta. Funny old world.
Looks like Porteous has been dropped for the return leg of the Scotland v Greece tie - not on the bench. There were quite a few murmurings about his poor performance in the first leg, even though he only played for less than ten minutes.
