Ok, we've had your favourite matches, but how about the team that you have the most affection for?
Posting your reasons would be nice or you could make a list in order of preference..

Anyway, why no option for Poortvliet’s or Wotte’s magnificent sides?

Ah, the days of Jermaine Wright, Jason Euell, Rudi Skacel, Chris Perry, Paul Wotton and a load of untested kids.

Remember the sheer uproar when we sold Stern John <laugh>

If we're going favourite then it has to be Adkins. Loved that team so much though it's possibly a point in life thing as well.

I find picking Poch here odd tbh. As the players then who were the biggest fan favourites were the ones who were around when Nigel was here too.

Who was in Pochs team who were more loved than the likes of Deano, Guly and Jos? Those 3 are probably in my top 15 favourites ever.

Adkins. Years of laying to waste all around us. Even when we got to the Prem and started running into stronger outfits, we looked like a team that'd always give a good game, a David willing to take on Goliaths.

I'm not sure how you can beat the Adkins team tbh. Some players (who were mainstays of Adkins team, though he obviously didn't bring them in) dropped down to League 1 with us and flourished as players as we did as a club. We brought in quality players from the league above and not only did we play an exciting style of football winning most games as we moved on an unstoppable tidal wave back up the football pyramid, the team were full of likeable characters like SKD, Deano, Rickie, Butterfield etc. You really felt the lack of egos in the team and the genuine friendships. It was a bunch of hard working lads who were fully invested into the 'project', completely believed in getting the club back up, and were genuinely excited and honoured to play for Southampton Football Club. One thing we will never get whilst existing as a PL club. They weren't just here as a stepping stone, and you could genuinely see that they knew this could well be the biggest club they ever play for. The way some of that team continued to develop into genuinely international quality players from the depths of league 1 is the cherry on the cake. A truly special era of Saints history.

Top post, i've no need to post my reasons now, you've said it all.
I do think that Pardew should get more credit than he does, he really was working at ground zero and contributed partly to Adkins' success.

I think it's probably a style of play thing, Poch's team were exciting to watch.

Adkins brought us the best memories and had some of the best characters. I was able to start going to games around then so that will always be the number 1 team. Really enjoyed Pochs team as well. They are ahead of Koeman's for me despite them probably being the best of the lot

I guess it would be more the how we played with the same players. Poch football was fantastic at the time and made a lot of fans believe we could do something. Koeman came in and did better, but I’d argue the football wasn’t as “wow” as we saw under Poch.

I agree that for me the Adkins team was my favourite of the ones listed. Surprised Juric 25 isn’t there, I would’ve voted for that
