Yeah that's cool. I was just replying to you not just moaning about it, replying to no one. Think they could have done better that's all.

Well to be fair if your that bothered about going in you wouldn’t rock up an hour before kickoff. And if I did and they said it was full I’d have no complaint at all. As an entry level bar that’s what it should be, first come first serve.

Come of it, you were saying it's a racket like when you were talking about skulduggery at the club, etc.

I only ever defend the club against ridiculous attacks, it's not arse licking.

You don't like Founders, fair enough, just don't go ...

... no need to claim no one wants to go there which you can't possibly know.

Aye it’s a funny one tbh. Theres always talk of wanting pre-match atmosphere building inside the stadium however there’s nout to make anyone want to drink inside the stadium before the match imo. The amount of people, myself included, streaming in literally a minute or two before the whistle is far too big of a hit for any kind of “significant” atmosphere to build. If there was a decent bar with a good selection of beers or even just a better selection on the concourse I wouldn’t mind getting over there earlier.

Club have listened to the fans on certain things and got a lot right but I think this is one they should be nailing if they’re serious about wanting people in the ground as long as possible.

Aren't there already 100 places like that within walking distance of the ground.

Don't you think the club will make more money serving meals, etc, than just knocking out cheap lager like the Colliery Tavern.

Don't you think there are people who want more than elbowing their way to the bar in the Wheatsheaf.

The club are trying to attract people who may graduate to hospitality, sponsorship, bring guests, etc.

I'm happy with a few pints in town but I don't think everyone wants what I want.

Thought about this quite a bit and tbh, I think they are likely boosting their offering to the ‘middle-market supporter’ - that being supporters who can’t afford corporate but would pay extra for the perks. They’re likely aware it’ll price some supporters out, but those supporters they also know will buy a season ticket elsewhere in the ground. Now that’s completely my guesswork but it makes sense (in my head). Gives the club offerings at every level and may potentially boost attendances/atmosphere? May seem far reaching, but the club will have done their research. Not everyone will like it and that’s absolutely fine. People have a right to voice their disapproval or approval. And they should.

You have ignored my posts. The ones when I said I was there with a group and none. Zero of them took up the option. I'll not engage, it's pointless.

So the answer to the atmosphere question is to get people drunk <laugh>

You might be right but I don't know how that works with all the women, children and those who leave on 80 minutes to get in their cars, beat the traffic and drive home plastered ...

... perhaps the club should just put lines of coke in the toilets <laugh>

Spot on. Shouldn't take a massive price hike and a founders bar to do it.

You said no one there took up the option and that people were annoyed.

And you've ignored the point that people can simply book online.

Engage or don't, it's of no consequence but I'll pull you up any time you claim the club are operating 'a racket' or whatever.

That's correct and pretty obvious ...

... the club needs to attract people who may move on to corporate boxes, sponsorship, etc, but don't want to commit immediately.

Knocking out cheap lager and competing with the Colliery Tavern is absolutely pointless ...

... you're just preaching to the converted.

No. I was saying your link was in relation to a single game buy for this season.

Last night and other nights like this are related to a sales pitch for next season. I have stated this.

My link was to demonstrate one of various options available, not just the one you mentioned.

Aye that’s fair mate, increase corporate income. Just when they call it entry level, that’s a bar.

As the actress said to the midget, 'It just depends where your entry level lies'.

I've been offered corporate hospitality and always turned it down ...

... I get into town, have a few pints, get to a place in the ground where I can stand all game and sing my head off.

But I don't expect everyone to be like me.

Mate, I couldn’t give a shiny ****e what you’ve been offered ha. We’re talking about what the founders could be. You think one thing, I think the other. No bother.

No you're wrong, I don't care one way or the other what the Founders will be.

My point is that what I think, or what you think, is totally irrelevant ...

... the club will decide what it is and we have no say at all.

If you want a bar, and nothing else, you're hardly spoiled for choice.

People who want a place with live music, catered food and the ability to book in advance have just as much right as anyone else. If you don't like it, don't go ... simple as that. It's for a few hundred people so they have to make the most money possible.

    It's a business.

Well people are going to the match to have a drink regardless so that’s irrelevant, the question is where they choose to drink. There’ll always be people who choose to drink in certain pubs beforehand but surely the club want A) the revenue and B) the pre match atmosphere instead of having it littered around bars within a mile or so of the stadium. I’d say it’s pretty common knowledge that if there was a better set up loads of fans who are drinking in the town/roker would walk over a bit earlier and have a drink in the stadium beforehand. The poor beer selection has been getting highlighted for years.

The club having better beers available for selection doesn’t make any difference whatsoever to those attending who don’t drink.
