Most clubs wouldn't get a point playing those sides never mind win a trophy. They will have to downplay it, that's what haters have to do, but it screams bitter and I enjoy it. Sunderland are actually irrelevant now.. I mean, they aren't even worthy of continuing a rivalry with because Newcastle are now challenging the elite. They will always exist for us to laugh at, but they're now extinguished in terms of a worthy rivalry.
