Just confirms what I already thought of Methven. An arrogant Tory ****er who thinks he's above everyone else.
The one thing that struck me about Donald and Methven...just how much out their depth they really were. I was like some one who ran high street Newsagents and then suddenly finding themselves running Something like a Fenwicks/Binns/ Joplngs etc.... They didn't have a clue about a football club on this scale. Methven showed on STID just what a chancer he was... You could see the staff during his meetings looking at each other with that WTF...look in their eyes. Truly embarrassing.
Totally agree, remember the staff getting a lot of stick from the fans at the time stid aired. Unfortunately us fans didn't see The Chancers in their true light until later.
Would you call him a Cheeky fat little Labour (vnt? His personal politics aren’t relevant to the abysmal job he did at SAFC.
I'd say his politics are far more closely related to his failure than him being a "cheeky fat ****" to be honest.
Aye typical posh, souther ****er who thought he could take the piss out the thick northern working man! In other words tory ****!
in my experience, people like him get found out pretty quick...money gets you so far, but the reality of his limitations will ALWAYS be there
He's a bullshitter, no more no less. Has no discernable talent/skill apart from convincing people that they need his questionable skillset
I'm not convinced you're right there mate. In my experience, close up, and by watching the last Tory government I'd say there are definite traits. You'd probably call Boris Johnson a Tory to his core, everything from his background, his upbringing, his education is pure Tory. I think it's fair to say he's arrogant, thinks he automatically knows better than the hoi polloi and believes his 'charisma, eloquence and humour' are more valuable than hard graft, competence and encouragement. That's Methven, Johnson and their ilk in a nutshell in my opinion ... ... people who want the title, glory and admiration without putting in the hours and dedication. They flit from one juicy opportunity to the next and leave before the nectar runs out. Wherever they leave is invariably worse than when they arrived yet they want all the credit and admiration for anything that actually went right. Methven and the 46,000 crowd was typical ... ... he was absolutely crowing about his 'achievement' which appeared to be no credit to the thousands of loyal supporters who actually forked out and showed up
