Enjoy it lads. It’s been a stupidly long time coming and you guys (both team and fans) deserved the win on the day.

Stephen Graham Mel C John Bishop Stan Boardman Steven Gerrard Jamie Carragher Cilla Black The Beatles Kim Cattrall Wayne Rooney YOUR BOYS TOOK ONE ELLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLL OF A BEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEATTTTTTTING!!! ****ing get in! Watched it in a bar in Whickham and just had to head in to town after we’d lifted the cup…absolutely bouncing everywhere , strangers hugging, hi-fiving and shaking hands, grown men crying! Unbelievable but that’s exactly what it’s all about. So chuffed for the lads! So pleased I’m off today, totally lost me voice. Gutted it’s international week now, I just wanna see the lads bringing the silverware back on an open top bus!
Before the game I said to my mates that all I wanted was two things. 1. For us to ****ing get in to them and turn up and put a performance in 2. Regardless off the scoreline, good clean goals…none of this VAR ****, penalties given when they shouldn’t be etc It was all of that and so much more. A proper old fashioned cup final. We outplayed probably one of the best teams in Europe at the moment, a team that have been pretty much untouchable this season in the league. We beat them fair and square, fully deserved our victory. The best team won and won well which sometimes is never the case. Unbelievable that other than the 3 yellow cards in added time for time wasting, there were no other yellow cards during the game. We absolutely ****ing bossed that. Joelinton was ****ing immense, he’s an absolute beast, there’s nobody else like him in the league!
Yep. Thought that was the best we had played in a long time. Not slick football but we just bossed them over the whole pitch and particularly in midfield. It was the perfect way to play them and they went from a team who have been imperious in the league to one who didn't know what had hit them. I had a brief wobble at the start of the 2nd half when I thought I wasn't going to be able to watch us protect a 1-0 lead for 45mins but once we got the 2nd I just enjoyed it until they got the late goal, and then watched the final few minutes out nervously.
I woke up this morning to a very strange feeling. The monkey that’s been on my back all my life has vanished
