The league is done lad. I'm amazed people are still trying to think it's in danger. We've lost 1 all season, but suddenly we are going to lose 5 in 9 It's ridiculous
Im not sure it was criticism really, the questions were obviously lined up after that big miss vs Villa, and he spun it to say that strikers miss all the time, it happens, but you can’t dwell on it for the rest of the game as you’re then totally ineffective. Salah misses all the time, but he smiles in disbelief and goes again, that’s what he was getting at
No, I mean drop points. Losing a league game then winning the next one is not as bad as drawing two. I don't expect us to lose 5 in 9 at all (though we will lose a couple). But drop points in the derby and away to an in-form Fulham... and that lead is suddenly 8 points. If we go into those last four games in May and it's 6 points with Arsenal still to play... I won't think this over until we go into May 9 or 10 points up.
Yeah I’d agree he was wrong to speak of it again, should’ve just said we’re not interested in the past as we can’t influence that result now or some ****
No point picking the points out of that we didn't turn up. I didn't like the put all the attackers on idea though ****ing silly. Elliott though deserves a chance and Slot needs to wake up to that.
Everton are unbeaten in 9 I think, so won’t be expecting 3 points but it’s about being realistic now. We won’t win every game, but nor will Arsenal so just need to take it game by game and not sensationalise anything
I watched the Arsenal game and my god was it ****. If Arsenal had played anyone other than a disorganised shambles of a Chelsea team, without Palmer, Arsenal would have lost. It really was 1 goal and done followed by who can be the least **** at defending.
my one criticism of Slot is not using the "fringe" players enough the obvious examples being Elliot , Endo and Chiesa as if nothing else in the case of Chiesa it might get him fully march fit
Eddie Howe has written his name in gold even if they sack him now. 70 years of trophy less, his biggest job now is how he can keep Alexander Isak so many admirers around.
Arsenal also have the CL to focus on. You’d imagine if we keep the lead at 12 points after the Fulham game they may just switch things up to focus on the Madrid games Tie 1st fulham home Sat 5th everton away tue 8th madrid home sat 11th brentford home We’d 16th madrid away
I know we go on about this, but I'm genuinely baffled as to how it took so long to get a decision on the Chiesa goal. Surely all they have to do is "draw the lines" and see the result? It wasn't even all that tight, should have been sorted in 20 seconds at most.
Unlucky gents we had to win one eventually.. You'll get the league anyway so plenty to be happy about.
