Too many players out of form basically and the reserves are not competitive enough quality wise or ready enough

I'm only as annoyed as I am because I know we can do better. If that was the team's level then I would accept it but it absolutely isnt. We've all seen them come back against Swansea and beat Boro.

If it becomes a repeat of Bolton 6-0 and rockets us into form then I'll be happy to have lost. Going to go on a walk now and enjoy the sunshine to unlose my head

My head is gone after that so I'm probably going to say some things I may regret later in the season but i'm that annoyed.

What the **** was that? Even in our poor performances this season we've managed to stay in the game, first time we've lost by more than one this season, but we barely threatened at all going forward and were ripped to shreds defensively. Midfield absolutely anonymous, wide players ineffective, fullbacks spent more time on the floor after being skinned, centre backs completely lost.

Normally when you lose you still have a few players who played well and were let down. ONE player today put himself about and tried to impact the game positively, Mayenda. He wasn't even that good but at least he put a shift in. Worst performance of the season for a lot of the players, Jobe, Neil, Mepham, O'Nien, Cirkin, Hume.

Going to keep going on about him so I apologise but what the **** does Patrick Roberts bring to the team? Please someone tell me one thing he does. Look at the other wingers in and around the promotion/playoff race, he's the worst of the lot. Marcus Edwards, Jaidon Anthony, Koleosho, Solomon, Dan James, Gnonto, Ramazani, Rak Sakyi, BBD, Sakamoto, Mason-Clarke, Mikey Johnston, Tom Fellows, Anis Mehmeti, Burgzorg, Doak, Whittaker, Dolan. You can even go to the bottom of the table to find better wingers. 4500+ minutes this season and last season with ONE open play goal, one penalty and 8 assists. So please someone tell me what he brings. He doesn't get doubled up on either, he just runs into defenders so it looks like he has been.

We have players on the bench, Aleksic in particular, who have barely touched the field while some of the regular starters look absolutely knackered. We paid something like £3m for him so we clearly see something in him so why not play him? He'd be better off playing every game for the u21s.

A result like this has been coming for a while but I didn't think it would be this bad.

    Enjoy the international break everyone.

A few games lately the opposition have had more desire to get the ball. We need more movement and quicker accurate passing

Coventry are top of the 10 game form league, and are still 10 points behind us.

In the last 10 games they’ve only got 9 more points than us. And there’s only 8 games left.

So even if they keep up their excellent form at the same rate, and even if we keep our poor form at this same rate, they won’t catch us.

And even if they do catch us, another two teams need to as well.

These are just that team we can't seem to do owt against.
Bad day at the office, rest and recover and go again, we know its the playoffs and Reg has to focus everything to get those 3 games right.

    cheers again RTB...

reet, this will most likely upset a few but wtf has happened with our midfield?

i know we love neil/rigg/jobe and i know we know they are all good players and when they are missing (injury/suspension etc) we all want them back asap...but i am going back to summit i said at the start of the season (or near enough) and that is we have a good choice of lads that can play in there and RLB HAS to use them to give lads a break, unfortunately, he has shown that he likes to stick with the same plan and is against the using of subs until late in the games.

might just be me but jobe looks as if he is running in treacle, rigg has lost his initial 'fight' and neil has dopped back to his early season form...the squad is there so lads can be rested so why is it not being used?

i hope this break means RLB is going to work on the middle because we are being over-run far too easy now...these lads deserve a break as they have managed much more than we thought they would but this is where RLB and his staff earn thier corn, that is why they were hired.

think the Samed injury (what a signing by the way) has really screwed us. We have very few options in centre midfield. Really should have at least one more central midfielder in the squad

Agree. Sick of people just ignoring the data, the science and blaming anyone who is critical. It's all there. I am not going to post much on this thread but this has been coming. This is what happens when you absolutely run every single player into the ground and don't make subs throughout the season.

You’re being fair here. There’s a difference in being critical and being overreactionary to bad form. Which some are.

We definitely haven’t used subs well at all. Regis needs to improve that. But he’s got us to where we are which is an excellent position. He deserves better than name calling and deserves another go next season if this one doesn’t end how we hope.

The only thing I can come up with from that performance is that we are trying to lull Coventry into a false sense of security in case we meet them in the playoffs.

He has. He has been good so far. But again, this squad, as I keep hearing is very good. Not many would swap many of our players for others. Play offs would be meeting the expectation not exceeding it.
