I think he’s been told to stop running full stop. If the ball isn’t played directly to his foot he is on his heels and slow to react, and then loses the ball.
Aside from the comical sloppy goal we conceded it is better than normal - at least we are getting the ball forward more quickly.
Looks to me like he’s just going through the motions, making sure he doesn’t get injured before the summer
So many times we had the ball out wide and literally no **** was in the box. Oh look and then Wolves score from a cross into the box and a striker nodding it in. Who'd have ****ing thought that was possible eh? Usual pattern of doing okay until we concede and then giving up. The lack of effort and intensity shown is genuinely nothing short of embarrassing. If we don't bring a striker on I might go home tbh.

I don't understand how this is the managers fault. The goal conceded is laughable and while you could argue for a striker none of them are convincing goalscorers either.
Yet again Saints look good until we reach the final third, then nobody knows what happens next. I do. We lose the ball. Big Les looks like our best forward!

I must admit my enthusiasm for watching the Saints has been on the wane lately but watching this lot reminds me why, total and utter ineptitude. I promised myself to save the hurt and just show interest at the beginning of next season, because we are quite easily and by a wide margin the worst team ever to participate in the Premiership.
100%. He could not be less interested. Tries to get a highlight reel run but cannot be arsed to run or track back. Doesn't pass early enough either. He's ****ed off that daddy Russ was sacked and he's already got his summer move signed off. This is not just a pop at him though. They're all bottle jobs.
Not playing s striker is quite clearly his fault. Yeah all our forwards aren't up to standard but neither is any **** for the most part. At least a striker will be in right places though There were genuinely moments in that first half when Lesley was our furthest player forward. Tall Paul coming on anyway.
