I’m not sure they are as nice in this country as they used to be, maybe the actual fish aren’t as big as they used to be, I don’t know.
They are great from Ryhope Fisheries, but I have the appetite of a sparrow now, so just get a portion of fish bites. @Evil Jimmy Krankie I bought fish and chips when I was in Australia, cant remember where now, but the shop was advertising winning awards, it was poor. Too balance that out I cought a couple of Tailor and filleted them and fried them, they were amazing
Never had it. I’ll order it next time I go and report back. To be honest even after so long I miss a nice bit of cod.
At some stage I am going to make a corned beef, cheese and onion toastie, stick that up your arse Gordon Ramsey
Loved the pan fried Barramundi when I was over there EJK. I had it at one restaurant on a cheese mash, very tasty
I’ve been known to dabble in the art of bread making in the past but never sourdough. Last week I made a sourdough starter and me first loaf (which was crap) well the crust was lovely but the bread inside was too dense. This weekend is the second go and I reckon I’m on the right track this time. in case ya don’t know sourdough is a right load of faffing on and you have to make a natural yeasty starter, my starter has turned into the Hulk this week which is why I’m more hopeful and following a single recipe rather than mixing and matching. 3 days in the making this loaf and tomorrow is cook day. I’ll post a picture if it isn’t sh!te (and I might post one anyway if it is)
I’ve been trying for 32 years to get Mrs K to make a corned beef hash but she won’t. She reckons it’ll taste awful. I’ve told her it won’t. She doesn’t trust me in the kitchen so maybe I could make one when she’s out.
