We could be first in terms of spending ability, but with Levy still around doing the decision making, we`d still be shiete.
Davies is a decent player, Hojbjerg though limited new how to play his position and was always wholehearted and committed something that I have never seen in Bissouma (for example), Lo Celso was a half decent player when fit and played in his best position, certainly no worse than Maddison. Royal now that is a baffler, but to be fair to him we expected very little when he was played at CB and in that context he did ok.
Just saying, the last time a two-legged match saw the first leg end 1-0 thanks to a Lucas Bergvall goal, the other team won the second leg 4-0...
Confident about tonight. For how bad we were in the first leg, they could only score with a horrible own goal. If we cut out the silly errors that were on show against Bournemouth then can see us winning comfortably.
We should be good enough to get the job done tonight, but how many times in recent years have we thought that! Danso being latest victim of the hamstring curse leaves Ange with a couple of selection dilemmas tonight, and as is usually the case I see him ,making different choices to me. I would pick Vicario, Porro, Gray, Van Der Ven, Spence, Bergvall, Sarr, Maddison, Tel, Solanke and Son, but I think that Ange will pick largely the same but with Romero, Udogie, and Johnson ahead of Gray, Spence and Tel. Anyway a fast start and a early goal would be nice, I expect them to sit very deep and we know that we struggle in this scenario so the prospect of a frustrating evening where we have over 70% possession and create next to nothing would not surprise me or most of us here.
I think Spence will start over Udogie and Romero and VDV will be at the back. Then it’s whether he plays Gray in midfield (which I just can’t see). He’ll start Johnson as well I think instead of Tel.
I think you are right, but I think its risk to start both Romero & VDV I guess he could start Romero and Davies as a third option, but as this a must win he will gamble on the 2 that have missed so much football recently
Game of the season for us tonight Let’s see what manner we approach it with Could be the last game of the season I bother tuning in to Not interested in the Prem games, since they aren’t but let’s see who we are tonight and what we are made of
