Is having Harvey Barnes in the team a blessing in disguise? Gets thrown a lot of shade from the fans but he is consistently better in his goal contribution per mins than Gordon. Good assist on Monday and could have had two goals himself bar a couple of very smart saves by the West Ham Keeper who pulled off about 4 world class saves! In the league this year Gordon is contributing every 193mins (2.25 games) while Barnes is at just shy of 100mins per GC (1.1 games) - it’s slightly closer with the cups but Gordon has more games in both cups this year, against lower level opponents but Barnes is still ahead anyway. (Roughly 160mins to 180mins for Gordon).
Barnes's good games always seem as an impact sub, this we probably need someone else to start on Sunday and keep Barnes as some kind of secret weapon. Too much of a weak link in the first half yesterday.
That's just because he's usually been a sub and if he's played in his actual position he's played in diluted sides. The number of people I hear suggesting he should play on the right baffles me because he's litterally useless there. This is his first opportunity to have a run of games in his position.
This. In his first start in his proper position in ages he had a few good opportunities to score and got the assist for our goal. The rest of our team, aside from Isak, don't contribute enough in terms of goals. Barnes will.
Not allowed it’s mock sats this week little un is being removed from class tomorrow to sit the one he’s missing on Friday
