No need for that bonny lad, there are people who can decipher company accounts at a glance, Grumpy is no more than a career accountant with 40 years experience in high finance …

… it could take the owld bugger days to go through the finer details <laugh>

These forums are all you need mate.

There are experts who can assess a new signing after twenty minutes, tell a career manager where he's going wrong and advise our scouts who we should be signing.

Fair enough there are exceptions and perhaps Mayenda shouldn’t have had his contract terminated, the manager actually made the right substitutions against Cardiff and Kieffer Moore turned out to be shyte …

… but the club clearly know less about running a football club than some of our supporters.

Once you accept that you’ll be canny.

    :emoticon-0140-rofl:

We all know people who claim to know more than the experts.
Unfortunately most of the time they only know how to clap their jaws.
A number of years ago they would either be the village idiot or someone that you laughed at in the pub. They were known and were basically harmless. Now with the power and anonymity of the Internet they can band together and attract attention.
Then again the world would be a boring place if everybody agreed about everything.
Still doesn't stop us laughing at them :emoticon-0140-rofl:

Ha ha I remember my dad saying "I knar nowt me that's all I knar" used to make me laugh back then and there are still quite a few of them about. Mind even a quick glance at Facebook and you realise how many absolute whoppers are out there.
Another saying from my Nana was "Some people just open tha Gobs and let the wind Blar tha tongue".

Revaluation of the stadium is interesting. Makes the balance sheet look very healthy. Might be helpful when looking to raise investment / funds.

    Season tickets out

ST has a 40 quid increase for standard adult. Massive increases for under 16. Literally treble the price! Also 6 DD instead of 4. Not sure I am a fan.

If you dont attend 70 percent of matches you risk having it cancelled

I like the 6 payments personally makes it more affordable but feel there should be an option for 4/6 months for those that prefer

prices still seem really competitive though

£620 for me. Bit steep but not bad in the grand scheme. It will be relatively good value if we do go up this season though

Got 2 emails through, one for me and one for my sons. Haven't got the daughters email yet but will be cancelling it anyway. She went to the odd game but isn't really into the footy, plus the 70% thing doesn't make it worthwhile.

Think mines gone up £40 (adult) the old man's has gone up £20 (over 65). Can anyone remind me what the u14 price was last season please? Its £80 this year which I think might be the same?

It's not. If they are going to insist on that, it would have been better to do 11 or 12 months installments. Basically like a phone bill each month.

Probably best to have a stand alone thread. There is posts in operations thread.

Only if the valuation is reasonable and accurate.

Even without it I'd say the balance sheets look quite healthy ...

... as you said, the other day West Brom are OK financially and our balance sheet looks much better at first glance.

I'd guess our squad is worth considerably more as well.

People are regularly asking the club to spend more money on signings and wages, something they appear to be doing with the likes of Le Fée, etc, as well as paying our current players, Watson, Neil, for example, more to get them to sign contracts. The club is clearly targeting the PL and we may well be there next season ...

... so supporters can't kick off too much is the club make increases to SC prices.
