They’ve probably got the government to fund that as well as the development around Old Traffic. No wonder Sucky withholds his taxes.
Well yeah, I know that. The cost of the stadium is entirely United's BTW. The development of the area on the whole is collaborative with Manchester council because it's not like United aren't the single most money generating attraction in that area or anything. People who go to United games, the museum, the tours, the shop, spend money elsewhere, the local government know this. Not really rocket science. This is the same Manchester council who gave City a new stadium and let them keep the money from the sale of Maine road, so it's not like they are doing us some exclusive favour.
Newcastles stadium looks like Beetlejuice when he turns into a snake. Still all these designs are better than Chelsea's proposed Egg slicer design.
Man Uniteds new stadium is actually a circus tent.. I thought it was a joke at first but it's legit. I mean, it looks next level, but circus tent?
I thought from a distance it looked ridiculous but the concept of what would be under the "tent" does look intriguing. Like a giant city centre almost
I'm pretty sure there's never been a stadium like that before, it's like Krusty The Clown gave them £2bn to build the stadium, as long as he had full say on how it looked.
