He was good at receiving the ball from the keeper, just in front of our area, and passing it to an opponent. :emoticon-0138-think

If Alzate is so good why did Brighton just let him go ?

Surely they shouldn’t have sanctioned it though because the club that let him go is always correct no matter what

Why not? They sold him when he wasn't able to play in the PL, included a sell on which they massively profited from, and brought in players who could play in the PL. I know you're trying to be snappy and make some sort of clever point but Alzate is 26 and had shown he wasn't up to the PL when he was with Brighton which is why he was loaned out until he wound his contract down, Gyokores was 23 when he left.

A fair assessment, agree Alzata is not a physical type of holding midfielder, though with Matazo and Crooks along with Zambrano if he comes back at some point, the midfield looks more physically strong overall as well as a step-up is quality IMO.

As a matter of interest it looks as if Seri has been out quite a long time I assume injured, as he as only featured 5 times so far and that was early in the season.

That’s a pathetic excuse isn’t it but it’s believed or justified as he’s the world number 1
Jannik Sinner, the men’s world No 1, has been banned from tennis for three months in a settlement of his doping case.

The 23-year-old Italian, who won the Australian Open in Melbourne last month, will now be suspended from the sport until 4 May. He will be eligible to play in the year’s next grand slam, the French Open, which starts on 19 May at Roland Garros.

The World Anti-Doping Agency (Wada) had challenged a decision last year by the International Tennis Integrity Agency (ITIA) not to suspend Sinner for what it judged was accidental contamination by a banned anabolic steroid last March. Sinner’s explanation – that trace amounts of clostebol in his doping sample were caused by a massage from a trainer who used the substance after cutting his own finger – was accepted.

In a statement on Saturday, Wada accepted that Sinner “did not intend to cheat”, but added: “However, under the code and by virtue of [court of arbitration for sport (CAS)] precedent, an athlete bears responsibility for the entourage’s negligence. Based on the unique set of facts of this case, a three-month suspension is deemed to be an appropriate outcome.”

Wada has formally withdrawn its appeal to CAS after reaching the settlement.

That's a suprise, a bit weird though, if it is doping then it should be multiple years, if not let him go. They just adjusted time frame in a way that he can attend grand slams, seems fishy.

Let’s hope it goes better than Pedro’s appeal.

I think if Zambrano can get it reduced to 8 months it will be a huge positive. He’d be available for most of pre-season training by then.

Will any of it be retrospectively counted? I thought "time served" was a regular thing, though I could be thinking of actual prison and not doping bans.
