Need a United win here. Want Liverpool feeling that the league is done so that they’re nice and relaxed for next weekend. They should do the mags at a canter but every little helps.
please log in to view this image Big ask but its a topsy turby league regardless we need to be perfect and hope the likes of Bristol and Coventry etc take current form into their games against the rest. Heart says why not but my wallet is on playoffs. Thoughts?
I'll never stop believing until it's mathematically impossible. However, over the last 10 games of the season we need to beat Burnleys points tally by 7 and one of Leeds or Sheff Utd by 9. Realistically we need to win 8 of our last 10 to stand a chance. It'll more than likely be the playoffs and that is more than fine. 15 points ahead of 7th with 10 to play is great going.
I still think we can do it ( and in true evening chronicle style....here's how). Leeds getting beat today has added to the pressure on the top 3. At present, it looks like there's 3 clubs for 2 automatic spots. The pressure will get to them, I've no doubt about that, all 3 them. Will they handle the pressure? I can see all 3 of them either losing a few, or drawing a few. The pressure is pretty much of us now, a play off spot at minimum looks nailed on. While Leeds, Sheffield Utd and Burnley nervously battle it out, as long as we keep our heads, and I've no doubt we will, I can see us sneaking up behind them.
We certainly need to win there on Saturday, i think we blew it at Blackburn, Millwall, Burnley, and Coventry at home 8 points lost, Leeds have the easiest fixtures left, but not a good away record 96 points top 95 points 2nd 93 points 3rd Leeds won't get to 102 points, they might bottle it again 4 wins for us and that will be 4th, and 2nd leg at home who we play well who knows but i think the top 6 are there now, but Leeds might finish 3rd. this has been a great season though for us and should go 18 points clear of 7th on Tuesday !
West Ham playing some tidy stuff now under Potter despite not having a proper centre forward starting
Surprised the mags have went with Pope tonight, presume that means he'll be starting the final as well. He's look so poor in recent games.
I didn't realise the Mag game was on, just about to watch the Cardiff game. I think Newcastle have the worst recent form of the top 12 teams so can't see them winning tbh. If they go 2-0 up the Cardiff game's going on
