funny you should say that. gets into Fosse mode. at a recent game at Goodison I witness what I would call a thundercunt of a strike that ensured a draw in the final Goodison derby. It was celebrated. then VAR came a knocking, the Liverpool fans were getting giddy….. an eternity passed and finally the ref gave the goal, Goodison went up again.

Can’t be arsed to trawl through every season but 96/97 I just looked up and United won it 35 points ahead of the relegation zone. That gap will double or a bit more this season. Ninth place (Lesta in fact) finished seven points ahead of 18th. We used to be a country.
