1.50 Sandown-Off The Jury Each Way [five places]...currently 40-1 Despite David Maxwell riding looks overpriced...
Sandown 13,50 Belliano 4/1 WH, sky, PP and betfair Gowran 16,15 Aboy Joey 12/1 e/w bet365, WH, Lads and Coral five places, 11/1 sky six places
Sandown 1.50 - The Kemble Brewery. Has to defy topweight but his form looks very good. Beat Skelton’s Valgrand in a bumper and also Pipe’s Jurancon over hurdles. Up in trip which connections are adamant will bear further improvement. Slightly worrying that he was 3/1 a couple of days ago and is now out to 10s but I’m keeping the faith. Good luck all.
14:25 Sandown - Lump Sum e/w Class-2 Handicap Hurdle over 2m on good-to-soft ground. The Imperial Cup is always a tricky affair and this year it's no exception. Will go for the top-weight who represents a degree of class, and should run a decent race. Without further ado, this Authorised gelding is the choice. Conditional jockey, Dylan Johnston (3), rides for the Sam Thomas stable. 17-runners currently scheduled to go to post. 9/1 (Unibet) best price on the ATR site, at time of writing.
I thought you might be attracted to Kepler's Law in that one Chan (One for the Physicists amongst you)
No one calling Olly Murphy a fiddling ****er with Go Dante? The handicapper has been a bit lenient there I think. He won last year of 129 and was put up 5lbs to 134. Three poor runs off 134 and they already drop him a couple of pounds to 132. Pulled Up at Ascot off that new mark and immediately gets dropped another 2 pounds to 130. 2 poor runs off 130 and they drop him to 127 today and he goes and wins. I bet some of the Irish trainers are casting envious glances at such treatment by the handicapper.
Unlucky G1 if Maxwell hadn't kept switching the horse and getting behind horses 3-4f out, I think off the jury wins by 2 or more lengths
Yeah listened to a few cheltenham podcasts and the Irish contributors generally just laugh at the English handicapper
I was looking at his horse in the NH Chase - In d'Or trained by Venetia. On paper it has possibilities in the race but with that clown on its back I'm not so sure.
