Shot herself apparently. Starred in an episode of Knightrider as well. Looked her up, don't remember her, although I did see an old photograph from 1985 of her with dark hair which looked more familiar.
So it appears Gene Hackman died a week + after his wife, but he may not have realised she was dead in the house as he had advanced alzheimers. Gene died of heart failure.
I think this is it, but it's taken several stories to piece it all together... I think there are three dogs, and they had a 'dog door' ie like a cat flap, so two of the dogs could come and go - but the third dog might have been in a cage near where the wifes body was found, the reason for the cage is a vet visit was planned. Well that's the best conclusion I've come to so far, and would explain why two dogs survived and one didn't. Initially the cops got the ID of the dogs confused, or as I think was said, they aint vets. Of course I could be compleatly wrong about all this.

Where the **** were the kids? Maybe give your elderly parents a call now and again. Guess the inheritance will soften the blow.
