This is what worries me. For months we heard Ange complaining that he had no time (and no players) to work with on the training ground, but when he has time (and players) it makes not one iota of difference. We just do not resemble a serious football team.
We really are **** aren’t we?! our defending is pathetic but going forward is even worse. I feel bad saying this as he’s only had a few games, but Tel really offers nothing at all. And that’s saying something given Son and Johnson have been woeful as well. If this carries on like the first half, we will be out of the tie before the return leg. I was being serious when I said DH’s 4-0 prediction could easily come true. Half tempted to put a fiver on it.
I’ll take the 1-0 right now thanks. Don’t want to put Tel down to much already but he either can’t or is clearly not ready to play on his own up top. Would rather have seen Scarlett up there. Son and Maddison’s free kick pretty much summed us up.
The difference being that Son at least has a shining legacy, which I personally feel is now coming to an end. Ange has none, aside from winning the Australian league with Crocodile Dundee United.
After careful consideration I will partake of the feast of football that no doubt is about to be served up in the 2nd half. My day was so awful it surely can't make it any worse......
