    COUNCIL TAX GOING UP 10% ....... HERE'S WHY .........

A proposed 400-metre footpath behind Temple Meads, dubbed the Harbour Walkway, is set to link the new University of Bristol campus with the ferry stop, but its estimated £9.7 million price tag has sparked controversy. can easily rise to £12m? .....Bristol City Council's "complex and ambitious" plan has been slammed by the Liberal Democrats, who claim it is a gross misuse of public funds, with a staggering cost of £24,000 per metre.

The project, already years behind schedule, has been criticised as an "incredible waste of public money" under the former Labour mayor Marvin Rees. The Liberal Democrats' concerns will be addressed during a transport policy committee meeting on Thursday, February 6.

This .gov reminds me of when I was AGRICULTURAL SCHOOL/ COLLEGE............ each year we had a dinner that commemerated a past occupant / owner of its main building ... the meal was based around a half chicken!!!!!
in the day before we had a plucking and trussing competition where 12 boys had to pluck 7 birds then dress them for the oven... their best 3 they put forward for judging the winner . hey ho it was me!...lol MY POINT though was in the plucking shed.... often when knee deep in feathers [ small shed for 12 boys just fitting! ] you would get "a headless chicken " suddenly start running around in and under the feathers flapping away" feathers would propelled 4-5ft from the floor a real chaotic catastrophe! IT seems that rattlesnake Rach could be a shape changer .......... snake... headless chicken.... stranger to the truth?

the TRUTH IS OUT ......... we have a .GOV of headless chickens

NOTE........... when "prepared humanely for chickens to be plucked and trussed there is a manouvre to kill them ... a fact of life! " in some a nerve reaction causes them run around and flap

Rubbish in the streets, library doors slammed shut and vital support services decimated from cradle to grave. These are just some of the symptoms of a tough period for the residents of England’s second largest city.
When Birmingham City Council effectively filed for bankruptcy almost 18 months ago, it announced £300m of cuts over two years – affecting almost every area of public life.
During that same period, the council is on course to stuff another £283m into gold-plated pensions for staff, The Telegraph can reveal.

Birmingham has one of the most expensive schemes in the country — it spent around £1 in every £3 of council tax receipts [ thats 30% ] on staff pension contributions last year. Officials receive a guaranteed, inflation-linked income for life when they retire.
The figures serve as a kick in the teeth for local residents, who face a 7.5pc rise in their council tax bills this year – adding £134 to the average home.

The savage programme of cuts started in 2024-25 as the local authority desperately shedded £149m of spending.
Yet that same year, figures suggest that council staff enjoyed pension contributions of around £142m – almost enough to plug the shortfall. [ they are not the only council .. the majority are Labour ones though ]

A LOT OF CONCERN about Trump in the states with his rough shodding it over the lawmakers and taking the constitution as a thing that doesnt apply to him.
The USA & RUSSIA holding talks without all stakeholders present is a real NO NO. He trump seems to setting himself up as a demi god ... the reflection is it adds credence to his criminal activities that started after being kicked out of the White house 2020 WITH LESS VOTES THAN BIDEN.... his attacks on the federal gov via a non elected but in cahoots with himself are looking very much like an "ethnic style" cleansing .... getting rid of all those that oppose what he is doing .... remember Marv's first couple months!! he got rid of all the cabinet members etc that were "non labour or disagreed with his word "...........

why did Putrid invade UKRAINE? ............. NOT NAZI'S .... NOT NATO GREED OF A DIFFERENT KIND...........
Throughout history wars have been because someone has something you want? .. well..............

    ..........
According to Ukraine’s own data, cited by Reuters, the country has deposits of 22 of the 34 minerals identified as critical by the EU, including rare earths such as lanthanum, cerium, neodymium, erbium and yttrium.
Before the outbreak of war with Russia, Ukraine was a key supplier of titanium, producing about 7% of global output in 2019, according to European Commission research. It also claimed 500,000 tons of lithium reserves, and one-fifth of the world’s graphite, a crucial component of nuclear power stations.
However, with Russia controlling about one-fifth of Ukraine’s territory, much of these reserves have been lost. According to estimates by Ukrainian thinktanks cited by Reuters, up to 40% of Ukraine’s metal resources are under occupation. Russian troops also occupy at least two of Ukraine’s lithium deposits, one in Donetsk and another in Zaporizhzhia.

There is one big reason Trump is so keen to get his hands on Ukraine’s critical minerals: China. More than ever, the Asian superpower is the world’s factory and that means, wherever in the world critical minerals are torn from the ground, it remains a crucial staging point on the supply chain.
Most of the world’s processing capacity for critical minerals is in China. According to the IEA, China’s share of refining is about 35% for nickel, 50-70% for lithium and cobalt, and nearly 90% for REEs. Its dominance in the latter, especially, is overwhelming. According to USGS data, in 2024 China accounted for almost half the world’s REE reserves.

With Trump effectively instigating a trade war with China with his imposition of steep tariffs on Chinese goods, US access to critical minerals is potentially under threat. As mentioned earlier, the world is being gripped by an unseemly scramble for mineral wealth. They are the building blocks of the economy of the future, and if the US doesn’t get its hands on them, someone else will.

This was written by an Australian political journalist and cartoonist
There are many similarities between their position and ours

Thoughts from Larry Pickering (Australia's renowned political cartoonist)
Many of us came from convict backgrounds, sent in to exile for stealing a coat or a loaf of bread or a silver spoon.

Some came for murder and robbery or prostitution. Tough people.

Many came from China to work on the Gold Fields.

Some came from Italy to work on the Snowy Mountains Hydro-Electricity scheme.

Some came from Hungary during the Revolution.

Some came from Vietnam during the Vietnam War.

But they came for a chance to work and start a new life.

    And they worked hard !!

The Greeks, Poles, Ukrainians, Italians, Russians, Latvians, Dutch, Serbs and Irish, so many more that it would be impossible to name.

There were no hand-outs, no privileges offered.

These people were given a chance to start a new life, in Australia, to become Australians. And Australians they became.

They learned English and embraced our country while offering the gift of their food and culture and music.

We accepted that gift and sat together at the same table and laughed and drank their wine, ate their food, danced to their music and married and loved their people.

    As they did us.

I have spoken with friends from Hungarian, Italian etc, backgrounds and while they embrace and celebrate their roots, they consider themselves Australian.

The common denominator with this terrible situation that we find ourselves in is that our current immigrant population do not want to embrace our culturebut to destroy it.

They do not want to learn our language, but to annihilate it. They do not want to work but to get us to work for them.

When our feminists ignore the genital mutilation, oppression of women, rape of little children of both sexes, we have a problem.

When our Politicians condemn an elected member of the Dutch Parliament for coming to Australia to speak his views,we have a problem.

When Australians are callously-murdered in cold blood by immigrants of any Nationality, Religion or Race and our Government offers sympathy to the family of the perpetrator of the crime before offering sympathy to the family of the victim, then we have a problem.

When Australians are living below the poverty line and have nowhere to live while immigrants of any Nationality, Religion or Race are prioritised, then we have a problem.

When 16,000 English-speaking skilled-professional workers are refused visas and 12,000 uneducated, non-English speaking refugees are accepted, then guess what, we have a problem!

When Australians are called racists and bigots for speaking out about their concerns about the above, then again, we as a Nation have a problem.

When people prefer to debate the best bachelor or best contestant on X Factor to debating our Nation’s future, our children’s future and our grandchildren’s future, well you got it, we have a problem.

When our news is censored and we have to delve in to the internet to find out what is happening in the world and in our own country, dare I say, we have a problem.

The one thing that sets Australia apart from almost any other Nation on Earth is the Aussie spirit. It can be seen as a 'she’ll be right mate' attitude thatsuggests apathy; or 'she’ll be right mate' because we will take care of it.

I went and saw "Bridge of Lies" yesterday and it is well worth the watch.

The Berlin Wall was put up to separate two different Political views. It was a physical wall.

Today, we have a wall being built in Australia. It is not made of bricks and mortar. It is made of censorship, Political Correctness and insidious manipulation through media control, Acts of Parliament andSocial media trolls. There is no razor wire, no watch towers. Just the ability to call someone a racist.

I am reminded of the words in the old childhood saying: "Sticks and Stones may break my bones - but words will never hurt me."

Well today, apparently words can hurt you, but only if you live on the side of the wall that our Government and Politicians have elected as the 'right' sideof the wall.

No longer are people in Australia even able to scale a wall. Bullets are not needed. To shoot us down, all that is needed is to call us racists or bigots.

I am hoping that the Aussie 'she’ll be right mate' translates to 'don’t worry, we will take care of it' and rise up and say that this is our country.

Friends, this is not a Refugee crisis. This is an Australia Crisis.

Ifear that it will be too late if something does not happen while we still have enough Aussies left.
    - Larry Pickering

Reading through all the different "news feeds" UK and abroad! a very interesting picture is building up in respect to Zelensky / Trump/ Macron / Putrid and it boils down to just wrong and bitter PUTRID must be .................

HE ..Putrid has been responsible for murdering some 100,000 - 150,000 plus Russian SOLDIERS likely 2000 or more of PRNK ones likely almost 100 or more Russian citizens but the main things are his intentional reasoning [ excuses ] were unfounded and all that he wanted to achieve regard NATO has backfired ... really BACKFIRED ... 2 MAJOR NEW COUNTRIES HAVE JOINED! but not only that he has destroyed the Russian economy ... made a place for himself as a evil despot and strengthened UKR RESILIENCE and ability to innovate weaponary...UKR has destroyed £xtrn of of his military armament ... and they are not finished yet.

the minerals deal is really key some of the biggest most important deposit is / extends into occupied territory .. the reasoning [ subversibly ] likely why he wanted that territory the Russians have already stolen some £xbn of steel from Mariupol which was partly paid for by countries all over the world! PLUS £m's of grain etc etc ..TRUMP ISNT LIKELY TO WANT TO GIVE THAT AWAY!.... his chaotic ramblings "hide " a cunning plan? as part of one interview states that he could possibly put more "upfront" to help retake land occupied ...
enough for now .....lol have to go out!!!!!!!

with just 4 weeks to go until EoFY, Ratlesnakes tax raid is about to descend upon us ..
Lets not forget the sneaky way she has increased people paying income tax ... a promise that they said during the hustings "we will not increase the tax you pay in your wage packet" Well as a reminder, as people are so embroiled with NIC costing us more in what we buy .. our tax burden has increased and many more step on the ladder for the first time and some on lower incomes join the ranks of paying more of their low wage into the income tax pot
TRAIN DRIVER awarded a massive increase lets say average was £4000 pa so .gov gets £1600 of that back plus % of NIC being paid .................
PENSIONERS ... OLD STYLE PENSION ......... get around £430 ... no they only get around £ 345 of that as Rattlesnake claims 20% [ £85 ] of it for income tax! on new pension £520 Rattlesnake gets £105 of that!
LOW EARNERS [ over 21's ] ... now get £12 per hour on a 40 hour week that about £30 so Rattle snake grabs in another £6 pw 18-21's is £11 pw ....!!!!!

from 1 April 2025 are as follows:
NMW Rate Increase (£) Increase (%)
    National Living Wage (21 and over) £12.21 £0.77 6.7
    18-20 Year Old Rate .........................£10.00 £1.40 16.3
    16-17 Year Old Rate ..........................£7.55 £1.15 18.0
    Apprentice Rate ................................£7.55 £1.15 18.0
    Accommodation Offset ....................£10.66 £0.67 6.7
This page contains our advice to the Government on the 2025 minimum wage

so not taking more from our pay packets then ..... bear in mind some of the lower paid on less than 40 hours with the increase will start to pay and in certain companies may have hours cut to balance the books!!!!!

come on ANGELIC ... UNLESS THEY OF COURSE you MEAN they ARE getting it right 4.9% rise a real p**s take really and £43m of cuts, could have been worse much WORSE if Labour was still running it, they of course built up the massive debts we have and sold the cities jewels and wasted them ..................... viz over £100,000,000 for Bristol airport!!!! then resold a couple years later for £198,000,000

So Council Tax rises again and services get worse
It’s what a local council does
If the bins are only going to be emptied once every 4 weeks I shall start paying them what they’re worth not the inflated asking price
    It’s a joke

agree to a degree when you say council does but not that it is the fault of the Greens they have a similar "scenario" to what the tories inherited in 2010 ... mostly down to mad MARV and his get rich scheme!!!!!

imagine your household had an emergency, and when you "left it" it was all in balance and running fine! 3 or 4 years later you returned and it had been run for you IN YOUR ABSENCE, but the income stream and savings account etc all meant that it remained on a par THROUGHOUT with what it would have been had you been there!
You return to find debts... lack of maintenance .... worn out items etc etc ... and you resume to rebuild /pay off/ bring up to date everything to what it was when the emergency struck! Income stream is the same ......WHAT DO YOU DO?

You make the incumbent council legally responsible for profit and loss with criminal records for those who overspend by more than 2%
And you do a DOGE at local and national level
That’s what this country and the city of Bristol desperately needs
